  • He wasn't forced to get on a dead horse's back. And what does "missed" mean? It could just mean his name doesn't appear on the race card and he isn't officially credited with any successes and he can't be at the racecourse. I would rather he was banned for a longer time so he would have to do something else in the interim rather than stay in the shadows for a few months and then pick up where he left off.
That's all I will be saying on the subject.

      • When is the next entry/forfeit stage for the festival races? Are they 5 days before I.e. Thursday for Tuesdays races?

          Tonic

It's 6 days so Wednesday for Tuesday, followed by 48 hour declarations so Sunday for Tuesday and by Wednesday we know every horse declared for the Festival.

          • They should open a market on which race The Shunter will go for. Not sure he will get in the Plate and so would it be The GA or County?

Be on same mark of 140 for both.
I'd have possibly thought the GA had his mark not been higher for chasing.
But now it don't matter too much.

The talk of going up in trip seems odd as he's now won the Greatwood and morebattle over 2 miles. Both strongly run 2 mile hurdles with stiff finishes.
County looks perfect, as he won't have to be played as soon - like today.
With luck in running he should be coming hard at the finish in the County and has plenty of time to get rolling after jumping the second last.

              • ‘Huge support from owners’ for Denise foster stepping in at elliotts yard according to the RP... does this mean we can stop worrying about gigginstown turning up at Cheltenham? Hope so! Not long to wait & find out now

Are we positive Q that the UK handicapper can't raise his Chase rating above 140 after today, on collateral form or something similar. I agree re County as others look better treated in the GA to me.

That was an appeal of her rating.

I meant after the weights are announced for a future race.
Can they add on due to collateral ??
                                I don't think so.
