Saw that as a response on Twitter.
Yeah this is right. Don poli sold to Darren Yates Thursday evening after racing and ran in the national on Saturday in Kirby’s name. Just a matter of signing paperwork really.

would imagine possible scenarios either busty takes out a license, or he comes to an arrangement with another trainer to have them run in his name. Mouse maybe? Either way, probably only change be the name on the race card.

I suspect it will be different by bookie. Could see the Flutter owned ones voiding singles. I bet Hills have already spent our money
Of course, but not THIS chance.

Assuming the horse had actually been entered, I don't see why it wouldn't be similar to being balloted out. Maybe that's just me being hopeful

As someone has already posted, a photo is a moment in time, and clearly doesn't present the whole story. None of us know the whole truth. Im sure every single one of us was appalled when we first saw the picture. I was 1/100 it was fake as I couldn't believe he would be so stupid. But that's all it is. Stupidity. He is being pilloried as if he has actually killed the horse.

I imagine anyone who has spent a lifetime in a racing yard is more desensitised to a horse dying than most of us would be. That's not to say it doesn't matter, or they shouldn't show respect, but I can imagine it doesn't feel a huge thing to the likes of Gordon. he must have seen it so many times.

The BHA are trying to score cheap brownie points without considering the full picture.
I think the bha had the balls unlike our counterparts here in Ireland to take action swiftly let’s hope the horses can still run Gordon messed up no doubt he didn’t kill anyone I’m sure in time he will be back again his auld buddy o leary is by his side

              • Owners are permitted to transfer horses to a different trainer and run them at British meetings. Let the dash for Envoi begin.

                And then the begging starts

                • Would it not be extremely harsh to take Kennedy off Envoi, regardless of a move. The poor lad has done fuck all wrong

If O'Leary is true to his word then potentially we may not see the Gigginstown horses at Cheltenham because they will be staying put at GEs yard as a gesture of solidarity. Unless of course the Irish racing authorities resolve this very quickly in favour of GE or allow transfer of the licence to a suitable deputy.

That’s what I was thinking. They went very early with their support

                        • Meteorites may be just north of Cheltenham
The hunt is on for meteorite fragments that are likely to have fallen to Earth over England on Sunday night.

Many people across Northern Europe saw a fireball in the sky shortly before 22:00 GMT, and the streak of light was also caught on special cameras.

Scientists think some pieces will have survived the intense heat of atmospheric entry and hit the ground.

A computer model that analysed the camera data suggests the probable site of impact is just north of Cheltenham.

Does anyone else have that feeling, something or someone doesnt want The Festival to go ahead this year?

                          • Their loyalty won't run deep enough to not running their fancied horses at the fez for my money.
I could see them "temporarily" transferring perhaps Run Wild Fred, Abacadabras, Wide Receiver, Samcro, Shattered Love, Tiger Roll, Torygraph and the likes of Fury Road.
Loyalty may however extend to leaving their lesser lights behind as they've kind of backed themselves into a corner with their earlier statement.

Claisse found a piece of Meteorite at the top of the hill

He said it was Good to Soft

                              • The most likely outcome will surely be Gordon stepping back and letting Busty take over until the dust settles. Im no expert on the finer detail of that, but Id imagine it will be pretty straight forward.

Obviously some owners may not accept that, but for those who want to keep the horses their like Gigg, its surely he best solution for all concerned.
