I think Patrick hinted at going professional if amateurs aren't allowed. See how it plays out anyway.

would love her on It came to pass

      • Horses not entered in handicaps with BF/PP who are NRNB can still be cashed out. Would there be any negative account consequences for cashing them rather than waiting for money back?

I don't have any cashout facilities but I always thought it might raise a flag on your account if you were a regular user of it especially if you take advantage of horses who are rumoured to be injured and you get rid of the bet before they can react.
So perhaps wait until they refund ?

I could see HRI waiving the normal rules in the circumstances. But if pros are going to ride, I’d rather have an actual pro onboard, rather than a pro in name only

Edit: just to clarify that, I mean to allow them to resume being amateurs with minimal fuss once they’re back in Ireland.

Yeah, that was my thinking Ista, but good to chat through to make sure I wasn't being paranoid (I am usually being paranoid)

                I've cashed a couple, left a few....

I wouldn't like to lose my account over it....however, I just feel it's inevitable at some stage so it helps balance the books.

                • They will be giving it back at some point anyway so can’t see why they would be negative on it. Cashed any I had yesterday already reinvested some surely that’s the point

It's specifically the ones where you can cash out for profit that are the ones they could see as us being exploitative though?

I suppose they had the option to suspend cash outs and didn't though, and as far as they're concerned it's guesswork on cashing out for a profit before entries are announced.

I wouldn't have cashed out any for a few quid profit... but I like getting the huge stake back all in one go as I'll fritter the rest if it trickles in

                      • Anyone on Shishkin concerned about Nicki's recent form? I know I am.

                        • Now that Amatuers can't ride in a few of the races, it brings back into focus a point I made in the Foxhunters thread that presumably Trainers will now have the option in these races of using claiming conditiinals. Could that make a significant difference in these handicaps now, as well as the Foxhunters?

                          • With the world as is, surely the powers that be could let amatuers turn pro for a fortnight and back again? I get the tradition et al, but surely someone has some some cop on

                                Not at all HTR.

Regardless of his form he always delivers them right for Cheltenham.

We think there was some under the weather horses in the yard etc over winter/Xmas but they will start coming into their own for spring.

Couple winners today to ease your mind.
