Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

The 2025 Supreme Novices' Hurdle, the opening race of the Cheltenham Festival, features a competitive field. Based on current form and expert analyses, the top contenders are:
    1. Kopek Des Bordes: Trained by Willie Mullins, Kopek Des Bordes remains unbeaten, having secured a decisive 13-length victory at the Dublin Racing Festival. Despite limited experience at Cheltenham, his impressive performances have made him a strong favourite for the Supreme Novices' Hurdle
    2. Salvator Mundi: Also under the guidance of Willie Mullins, Salvator Mundi has shown consistent form this season, achieving back-to-back victories. His recent performances position him as a leading contender in the race.
    3. Workahead: Trained by Henry de Bromhead, Workahead impressed with a 7-length win at Leopardstown. He is considered a strong each-way prospect for the Supreme Novices' Hurdle.
Yeah, it's excellent - although there's nothing massively unknown in the answer there.

One of the things I've been thinking of doing is using it to establish trends for races - I know we have them here and there's a few exceptional users of them, but anything we take out has a tinge of subjective bias (which can be a really good thing) so I'd be keen to see a completely objective view. Only problem is that the results we get would be dependent on the format/information within the input, so I've been loosely trying to figure out how to put a PDF or some form of data sheet together so that it can figure all these things out and see if there's any nuggets that we've missed. Maybe a job for the summer when next week is out of the way...

      Good to see you Yosser
I doubt there's ever been more than a few hundred actual people online at any point, we have 100 or so regular members/posters and no doubt lurkers who sign up and don't post, the wild numbers you can see online will be machines, it wasn't that long ago the Russians invaded spamming every thread before they were manually deleted and banned, I think Kevloaf did something clever that prevented them from getting through in the end.
It's all a foreign language to me but whatever funds have been/will be raised can be used to improve the site, which is good news for us all...

….i use Nord VPN when abroad but there’s still a few firms that block it. Hopefully somebody can help you get around it.

Obviously we all comment on individual threads but there could be a pop up box which would be perfect for weeks like this where people could just accumulate in the same space and just generally abuse each other or chat
Whatsapp group might be handy,be a fair few of us on course who will be hearing/seeing things that might struggle to get online, I'm catching up with a old mate who is now a race planner for a well regarded Irish trainer,he's pretty well connected so might have some odd titbits for me *cough*

Will run both my AI models later when the racing post gets the racecards updated and post both of their choices, new one takes into account previous form directly unlike the previous one which only took into account cumulative stats so interested to see how both performances albeit a 4 day festival isn't very representative of performance given variance!

And also gives me an excuse to work a bypass to the racing posts stupid new policy of needing to have an account to look at the full form of a horse

You should google Bill Benter, if you could use some of his system parameters it'd be interesting to see if the AI could refine his work,he did alright with his work though.

He the hong Kong bloke? I remember watching a video about him. Probably something for the further work section in the report given it's due next month and my current models work a lot on RPRs

                          He is, interesting bloke.
Proform & Dataform are also quite interesting for running systems through (Or used to be at least), of course with the advent of AI they could get left behind.
Be interested in seeing what your works give you for this festival, best of luck and hope the hard work pays off.

Wouldnt let me use the VPN when in Lanzarote last year. What i had to do was not use the VPN stay off the apps and google the betting site on mobile data. So stay off the free wifi.
