Sad news regarding John Hales. Wonderful supporter of the game, just glad he got so much enjoyment from the sport, especially in his last few years where you could see he was struggling with his health.

Yeh, he was at Windsor and interviewed briefly there, quite a shock

I know he had better horses but Al Ferof is one of my favourite ... and colours that are just so distinctive

Not supremely confident because as a child of the 90s I grew up watching England pants up. but we have a formidable home record and this England team can always be counted on to dig deep and find a way to lose.

Baird is a big boost to the team, but I would prefer Crowley at 10, Prendergast has done nothing for that shirt, all Dublin media hype
