Crowdfunder - Fat Jockey Forum upgrade

Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Would you be happy to share Darren's Twitter handle ?

That works. Thanks. Pearce with a "c" not an "s".

            • Savills group attempting to blackmail Brosdcasters to hand over £500k to trainers to share how they want seems quite out of touch.
For a sport that is on the decline if I was a broadcaster I’d tell them to go fuck themselves.
How many other sports do we see where participation in press conferences and tv interviews is compulsory and designed to advance the product.
But trainers think it’s a good idea to threaten a boycott.

Imagine paying for some of the shit, nothingness and drivel they come out with.

              • Darren is very clear he has not yet qualified. But thinks he will. Clearly knows his stuff. Very useful contact. Thanks.

Yeah saw Skelton has had his say. Media groups should just not interview them then. Skelton will soon be talking out his arse for free.

                    • What stage of a race does a horse have to make it to before falling or pulling up, for the run to count towards handicaps? I think it's the second last but can't remember for sure.

I have a niggle in my head that thought it was up to the final obstacle but could definitely be making that up

I always thought it was jump 3 out, PU before 2 out, but the handicapper has discretion.
Jeffery's Cross was pulled up before 3 out at Market Rasen and the nice handicapper man dropped us 2lb....

                          • Just remembered state man fell at two out on his debut for mullins, and they counted that as one of his three. So if you make it to two out it seems your safe, and maybe three out too.

That is much more likely and reliable info

In most sports I would assume that its compulsory because they're an employee of the club that is receiving tv revenue? Regardless of what content quality they actually provide - they are the equivalent of the head coach / manager, yet completely separate* from any revenue from the medium - this does seem off to me.

*i could be wrong here - don't know much about the specifics of tv revenue but afaik there are 2 big groups that handle negotiations and the money received goes to a mix of course pockets (presumably towards operating costs), prize money and in arc's case (I think) their own coffers.
