  • I was actually looking for a WTAF price for Ginny's Destiny earlier for tomorrow and the Ryanair but then I went and looked at the trends and GD isn't a good match for most of them.

Fact To File is pretty much the perfect trends horse for the Ryanair but appreciate he likely won't go there and those bets will be in the bin

Other than him, it looks like this could be a year for an older classier horse or a yak

      I agree.

Circumstances dictate I can only ever attend 1 day of festival week. Usually I rotate days. Start year 1 on the Tuesday and end year 4 attending the Friday.

Will almost certainly be taking the Thursday off the rota. It’s a long way from being a bad day’s racing, it’s just underwhelming compared to the other 3 days (often has been, but even worse now).

I assume that you don't have it giving out probabilities? Will it be marked on accuracy / theoretical bank growth or more on the processes used to build it / methodologies used?

I aim on adding a confidence variable later down the line and right now it just gives back the horse it rates the highest, in terms of marks it actually isn't about the accuracy it's more about the contents of the report and proof that I've actually learnt stuff on my own outside of my degree.

oh kev, how wrong you are about the stayers hurdle.

The stayers is the race im most excited about.

For obvious reasons, which you may have missed.

Lucky place would, currently, be my biggest winner of the week as a single, and probably my strongest ante post view.

But it's also that he was the horse I decided on some months ago would be an improver, and I hoped he would make up in to a stayers hurdle contender.
As we all know the feeling of being right is only topped by the feeling of winning bundles of money.....

            Get me a wheelbarrow........

            • Possible Teahupoo may win well if the ground is soft, heavy especially, but it looks a very competitive days racing to me and plenty of betting opportunities.
May lack a bit of class though.
I think the new handicap will be a good race and could well throw up a future Ryanair type, which is a race I usually enjoy.
The MNH looks a good fairly competitive race this far out and may also throw up one or two good ones for the future.
So personally I’m quite content with it all.

Less likely to throw up a Ryanair type than the race it replaced though?

and I did quite clearly say it's relative, I'm content with it too .... but is that what we are striving for, content at a day at the festival?

AaronLad - had missed that, so fingers crossed for you bud ... Gowel Road today with Lucky Place Stayers a play?

Less likely I agree, but every chance the new race will be competitive and enjoyable with although less quality will have more runners with chances I suspect , be interested if Jango Baie turns up, he’s a horse that could reach a high level imo

Yes, I understand re contentment, but asides from the new race replacing, it’s the same as every other Thursday of recent years, so used to it now and fine with it personally.

I can’t remember why they didn’t persevere with his chase career. Got a 141 rpr on chase debut and 145 on his second chase start and not run in a chase since and that was his last ever victory . Hasn’t improved on that RPR in 9 starts since over hurdles. By Flemensfirth out of an Accordion mare too. Sure there must be a good reason, does anybody know?
