Deadline for Meeting Run Requirements
Horses entered into any handicap race at The Festival must meet the required number of chase or hurdle runs by Sunday, 23rd February, inclusive of any races on that date, ahead of the publication of race weights on Tuesday, 25th February.
For the avoidance of doubt, both points are included where relevant in the race conditions for handicap races at the 2025 Cheltenham Festival."
Clarification my ****! ……the previous comm said otherwise and someone has challenged it !……..it didn’t say ‘and non novices’
So now the County ‘good thing’ Kitzbuhel will have to run again before Feb 23rd to be able to run in the County.
Unfortunately he will have to show his hand before the festival and leave himself open to the handicapper, whether he run in Ireland or Britain…….
Think I may cash out

Can't remember what thread it was, but I said I'd post what my AI model I have been creating gives for trials day, while I can't go into much detail of how it works before it is marked around May time, it primarily focused on raw stats such as win rates and RPRs to figure by assigning each feature "weights" in the AI depending on how important it believes they are.

How shite is the Thursday of the festival (not that some of these races can't or won't be fun or interesting as one offs and it's all relative) ... but....
1. Mares Novice Hurdle ... the 5th best novice hurdle race? Was exciting last year with some potential stars and even that was a let down..... rubbish way to kick off a day
2. Novice Handicap Chase ......... No longer a Grade 1, so no star .... not against it as a change in general but it's still a handicap chase for novice
3. Pertemps - it's fine, but just fodder race really given the qualifying ...
4. Ryanair - I know it has its fans, but it's still the Ryanair.
5. Stayers Hurdle - Teahupoo versus nothing ... no-one is getting exited about this
6. Handicap Chase - the mid distance one, just meh
7. Kim Muir - even worse this year with the NH Chase as a handicap?
4x handicaps, the Ryanair and Stayers and the worst novice hurdle
Hard to imagine anyone with really strong ante post bets for this day either really, Ryanair is always tough and the Stayers this year has been a one horse race so far? Doesn't look a lot of depth?
I might unbook the day off
