What will the bookies do with antepost bets on horses that later become ineligible to run in the mares hurdle? Would they do the right thing and refund?
Paddy Power love promoting a justice refund.
You'd be safer with a firm like that, maybe.
The markets are quiet. Im hoping it stays that way until the official news comes out, of the definitive changes.
Thanks Saxon, I have Kargese with Bet365 and both bets have fair cash out values. If she's going to run then I'd rather hold on, but if there's a fair chance she won't be eligible I'd rather cash out than risk losing the stake

If it was me, I wouldnt be cashing out anything - I have Golden Ace backed for the Mares and wont be touching those bets.
The only race I completely avoided thinking its definitely going to be changed is the NHC
Should also be a sensible thing for them to look at, to remove Novices from being able to run in Handicap Chases and Handicap Hurdles.
Whilst also making the Martin Pipe a Novices Only Handicap Hurdle
I dont back in the Bartlett very early very often, and if theyre going to hack around with Novice Grade 1 hurdles, maybe that one could go (or be changed) and like the DRF meeting have a 2M Supreme and a 2M6F Gallaghers maybe. That could help narrow trainers minds on which one to run their horses in, a bit earlier than happens now with some of them.
Watching England is like watching Langer Dan early to mid season
They look a proper handicap job !!
Hopefully Gareth chats to Dan Skelton and they release the handbrake and we put in a Coral Cup performance on Sunday
Just been going through your last years Cheltenham early fancies vids. Do you think YOU OUGHTA KNOW will be campaigned for his trip this season after a disrupted prep last year i.e the Albert Bartlett. A year older, bit more stamina and Willie will surely have plenty to attack the Supreme and Ballymore. Difficult to find a market for it at the moment but could imagine it being no less than 25/1 when they start opening them. Early shout for such a race i know but the forum dropped Stellar Story in nice and early last year and i think this could be a live one.
A 7 year old by next Festival, and by Beat Hollow and a half brother to Pont Alexandre, I'd say it's almost certain Yosser.
If he'd been back in early enough I'd say that's the race he'd have been in this season, and I seem to recall Luke McMahon, his owner, or perhaps Willie saying something about the Bartlett in his Bumper season. Something along the lines of comparing Uncle Junior, also owned by McMahon, who ran in the race.
Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.
ARC are a virus to the industry anyway, might be unpopular but if they get out of the sport I'd say it would be a good thing
I'm with you on this one.
Milked the Fixture List dry to snag as many fixtures as they can, to control a big section of the bookies Media Rights payments.
Looks like that income could be on a downward spiral from bookmakers as the profit and turnover on British racing goes downward.
That lot seem focused on Media Rights c/w Paying Customers, and not willing to reveal just how much they are earning from M.R. and what they are doing with it (prize money, c/w other uses).
Maybe their model of focusing on Media Rights income, as they/if they come down, puts them in a spot of bother, when they renew.

Murcia really is a hard one to weigh up - looks a nice juvenile prospect and by a nice sire in Doctor Dino but also out of a Poliglote mare so also a long term prospect too.
She's had four runs already so has the experience in the book and could be one for one of those early season Graded juvenile races. Might be worth considering for the Boodles too considering she's had the French hurdle runs... The aim will be the Triumph though, if good enough.
