One for the notebook - DROP A THREAT, 12 length winner of a point at Castletown-Geoghegan on the 14th April has been purchased privately by a certain Willie Mullins for 100k. 5yo foaled 11th March
Don't know much about the sire - TRIPLE THREAT but he has also sired Sans Bruit and Mister PolicemanLast edited by Yosser; 9 May 2024, 11:23 PM.

The trainer of Drop A Threat actually owns a share in Triple Threat too so that's an indicator of his potential as a stallion.

Question for Run4Home. Firstly, hi pal. Not spoken to you yet on this forum. Your inside knowledge has been incredibly valuable to me in selecting which horses to add to my team sheets and long may it continue. Basically i am looking for a horse called HIP HOP DAVIS. She has been in my tracker for 2 years and hasn't seen a race course in that time. Bought by Ricci and trained by the master. It's a really intriguing one for me because the winner of her race in France has never been seen since either. I was thinking she may have been bought as a broodmare but was just wondering if you knew whether she is or had been in training at all?

Killarney tonight:- this day last year at Killarney in the Hunter Chase ‘Nice To Meet’ was btn a shd by Annamix rcg 11lb. He went into my notebook as one who might develop into a Foxhunter type for Cheltenham. Although he won next time out he did not reappear until January. He has run 3 times since without causing much excitement. Annamix was due to run in this race but has been withdrawn this afternoon (due to give 6lb). He is currently 14/1 was 18/1 this morning (before the fab Annamix was withdrawn). Any further money for him would make him an interesting ew bet at least. We know he likes Killarney.

Bought to race, picked up an injury after a few months training very early on which has just taken a long time to get back from. All going well still planned to return but a long road back from those long injuries.

Nice To Meet - whoops! Well supported but exaggerated riding him on wide outside correcting his natural in limitation to go left handed on a left handed track did not help. But regardless not one for the note book anymore!

What do we think of Bunting and Highwind being in flat races this evening? I am a little perplexed. I wonder if the Vauban experiment has whetted the appetite of Willie. Plenty of 2 mile big pots over the Summer. I have given up on Highwind being a top of the table hurdler but i thought Bunting could possibly make up into a Stayers type of horse. I also have the same idea about Facile Vega though. Wonder if Willie thinks the same and FV will be his stayers hurdle dart. In my convoluted way, i only have FV as his possible Stayers horse now. Surely they won't continue over fences with him.
