Improved every run and form stacks up. Loads more improvement in him. Davy fancies him more than his missus.
I'd love to see him go the handicap route over hurdles or fences. Would also be a huge boost if Davy was on board but I suppose that's fairly unlikely to happen at the Festival.

Where would you like to see him go Lobos.

I think he'll be too good for any of the handicaps. Gun to head I'd say he'll go the Envoi route and go Marsh. He's a big baby and they'll want to look after him for a 2022 Gold Cup challenge. I've bet him but sort of regret it now as I can't see him toppling Envoi. That said, we shouldn't be banking on just the 1 horse.

P.s. Gordon thinks Davy will be back pre Cheltenham.

      • ...Santa Rossa must’ve been highlighted on here some time ago, I took that 50-1 in April.

(Edit; yep, put up by @ Hurdles & Chasing in the bets thread on 22nd April).

        • Very nice performance by G.Cromwells Letsbeclearaboutit in the bumper at Tipperary today. Well bred, could be decent.

          • Not sure if this is a dark horse or not but got 'Aloneamongmillions' in my head for the Foxhunters, no idea what sort of price he would be. When do the markets form for this race?

Far too big for me to write on a William Hill slip....so it's a no from me.

              • The Lucky One runs tomorrow in the 15.35 at Hereford. Once touted as a novice hurdler to watch out for, he ran average when eventually making the track for Willie. Now with Nicholls and running off 127, even if he doesn’t win tomorrow I think he could be well handicapped at some point later in the season. If they do blow it tomorrow he could still develop into a decent novice hurdler rather than handicapper.

Ah yes the lucky one, wasn't he 12s or something mental for the supreme last year before he'd even run

Came up in my tracker. I'm unsure what to make of him tbh. I was expecting him down a trip a bit further than what he is running over tomorrow so will be interesting to see how he goes.

                    • Not sure he’d be a proper ‘dark horse’ as a prior festival runner but definitely under the radar imo is Embittered for the Arkle at a standout 50/1 with bet365, backed him a few weeks ago as I assumed he would be going over fences but this was confirmed by JP O’Brien on the betfair podcast last week.

He’s got some serious bumper & hurdles form, never disgraced in defeat to the likes of envoi allen, darver star, Abacadabras etc and put up a very good performance in the county where he was beaten by a very well handicapped horse in Saint Roi & Aramon who has franked the form winning twice since including the Galway hurdle. He’ll have to improve for sure to be properly competitive in an Arkle but wouldn’t rule that out with Joseph who has trained the 2nd in the last 2 renewals of that; Le Richebourg was very well beaten in the county and came on loads for going over fences with Joseph.

Hopefully will be seeing him out in the next few weeks!

Someone else on here (possibly Spectre, apologies if not) put him up a while back and a few of us got on board at the 50's still available

Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.

And Joseph nearly won the Arkle last year, so the trainer has very recent form in prepping one for it.

                            • Indigo Breeze has been spoken about quite a bit in other places, and is 1st reserve tomorrow at Thurles. Bosses Oscar won it last year. English point winner. Probably not a dark horse, but interesting to see how he goes.

                                There are other places?

                                Cheers Jack.

It might be a good idea for us to go back and check all of Gordon's handicap runners and check what races they started in actually.

                                Note to self. Do that
