Was talking to a friend the other day about the vaccine and we both thought that we would actually rather get covid than get the covid vaccine. We are both twenty four years old with no known health problems, so if you are to go by the figures I know that the chances of me being in serious danger are very slim, whereas with the vaccine we simply dont know, nobody knows. It is impossible for the scientists who are developing the vaccine to know what side effects may occur five or even ten years from now when they have only been working on the vaccine for a year. Your chances of serious health issues might be significantly higher from getting the vaccine than from getting covid, depending on your age/ health of course.

Do you and your friend have any qualifications in immunology, pharmacology, virology, infectious diseases or degrees in organic chemistry?

Have you read 'The Selfish Gene' by Richard Dawkins? I bought it last week but haven't read it yet, but I think it taps into a lot of the above

Bits of it, I love Richard Dawkins though.

Self preservation is very important for human survival. You made a good choice

Without human interdependence and our mostly altruistic natures, leading to cooperation and ultimately helping build social capital and resilience.
Most scientists believe the human species would have been extinct a long time ago.

The selfish win at all costs side of some human characters may sometimes result in short term gains but ultimately the machiavellian nature of many will result in their demise.

Machiavellianism forms part of the so called 'dark triad' along with narcissism and psychopathy.

No finer example of the perfect 'dark triad' human is currently the outgoing president of the United States of America.
