Thanks. If they do I'll deffo get one. I do like to have a bet on the fez but I'd void all my AP bets to assure entry every day for the Festival week.

If that ends up being the case, the approx £100 will be refunded (incl New Years Day), so the membership cost would be approx what buying 4 day members tickets for the Festival would cost anyway - plus that would include racing on Trials Day, and April/May if any of that is of interest.
I'd only be going for the 4 days of the festival but at £430 it'd be money well spent and a gamble with taking, imo.

It might even be a better experience, no hassle getting a drink or a place in the stand.

I've just been on holiday and the airport experience is much better as there's nobody there

"no hassle getting a drink"... You wait for the delights of the members bar

Not sure everyone is going to be squeezed into one bar when things reopen, that would be rather pointless

Very true, but I'm sure they'll find 20 random people off the street who have never poured a pint before... At the November meet last year, a bloke next to me ordered a Guinness and black (only ever acceptable as a hangover cure?) and was rewarded with a pint of Guinness and half a pint of neat blackcurrant

the thing that used to bug me was the time it took for you to get change from a round. Hopefully card only payments will speed that up.

I hope that was on purpose as punishment for ordering a cocktail.

I went to Ascot once for the meeting in late August.
And the Polish kid behind the bar was selling Pimms in Pint glasses for £4-50 a pop.
                  That was a fun afternoon.

Don't even like Pimms but took advantage of the generous servings, ended up playing Pool in a Bar near waterloo station with Brian Belo from Big Brother.
                  He was shit.

Did exactly the same at Royal Ascot one year. Me and my mates thought it was a good idea to have rounds of pints of Pimm's. Big mistake. Puked up after stepping out of the coach and shit myself on the stairs at home as I couldn't make it to the bog. The wife wasn't too happy. Never again.

I'll make a note to never drink pints of Pimm's!

Rust saying less meetings and more races per day may be the answer going forward. Looks like we may go back to 3 day Festival next year perhaps??

Id say more like meetings clashing with Cheltenham will be called off. I think the 5 day festival is inevitable, not that I agree with it.

In fairness, I was wrong to have been so flippant about it, we were maximum a week away from you being right.
