PS agree 5000 would be a huge win. Not sure how many corporate tickets are sold - but they will get the first dibs as they pay the most money. My guess after that would be a ballot amongst the members, as is common with cricket.

Just spoke to my mum.
The Oxford Vaccine can be stored in a fridge so could be much easier to administer, even in schools and chemists.
Just need to get that on on the shelf ASAP.
That would have a lot more chance of getting numbers up, although I'd still be surprised if they get many millions dosed up by Springtime.

I wish you well

I'd like to see this idea extended to events where attendance restricted. No certificate, no entry.
Most of the people I speak to say they aren't having the vaccine and it feels like I'm in the minority by saying I'd have it.
My response to them - I don't think you should be allowed to travel abroad, visit mass gatherings (football, racecourse etc) or even go into a pub without proof of vaccine. I'd even put them to the back of the queue for NHS treatment. It's the starter for a good debate

I do like the debate on this though. My idea (in the pub) was the police should use the facial recognition software they use at the football to identify Covidiots at rallies, mass gatherings, and those flouting the rules - to then deny those people treatment in their time of need. I was shot down and told things like that will never happen as we live in a 'civilised society'

Putting a travel ban on those that don't want a vaccine would be so easy to police - I hope this is done.

I'm completely pro-vaccine and I'm not the greatest fan of the anti-vax brigade. But there are people out there with genuine concerns, to strip away civil liberties because of not having a vaccine, I find absurd, if not dangerous.
Let alone the fact that people under the age of 50 (especially people around my age - 23) will be at the bottom of the pile and not getting vaccines for a long while, are we just going to not let any of them into sports venues because they haven't been vaccinated? Let's just go the whole hog, call an election and only let the old vaccinated people vote.

Edit: Just to add as plenty seem to be struggling with it, we aren't going to eradicate Covid, same as you don't eradicate flu. It will always be here, life will have to go on. This was also the message from Chris Whitty and co last night too, not just my internet warrior ramblings.Last edited by Jorvik; 24 November 2020, 12:04 PM.

Some people are coming out with some amount of sh1te off the back of all this. No vaccinations are mandatory in this country, 1000's die every year of flu, most at risk get offered the jab, the rest of us can pay for it if we want to, but the vast majority of us don't even thought plenty will get flu and many may pass it on. So many people seem to have spent most of 2020 daydreaming about wearing an SS uniform.
