Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

I agree Elimay looks the bet of the lot. I was impressed today.

I would say - where does DDC run then? Has to be here IMO. The yard have said 2 1/2miles is the best suited trip. Elimay is an easier nut to crack than Envoi Allen. The Marsh would be much tougher (even just to place).

Really hoping my beloved Aston Villa beat Burnley tonight so I have a couple of decent roll ups on Elimay otherwise I have nothing on her.
Nicky has also mentioned dropping DDC back to 2miles. Just before her first chase he was qouted as saying" shes electric over fences and i might even drop her back over 2 miles as she enjoys it and she is so quick"...

      • Given how late she started the season might be a chance dame de compagnie skips Cheltenham and targets the 2m4f novice grade 1 at aintree

        • Ruby has tipped up Elimay on RTC, prepare for a further unwarranted price cut.

          • It’s not inconceivable Willie could have Benie, Elimay and Colreevy in this.... any decent prices around for him to train the first 3?!

Haha, that was my 'note' about Dame De Compagnie when I watched the race back in April/May time!

Think she'd go close again as didn't go up much.

Then again, Barry was a HUGE plus, and no jockey in the JP silks will replace him this season - well worth a few lbs.

We had some (morons? ) bashing him on here.....

On a slightly related note, seems to be a lot of people bashing Robbie Power at the moment? Umm.......?

                • Is there any sign of Robin de Carlow or does anyone know if she’s out for the season?

Has form lines with Brahma bull (winning by 6L and 2nd by 3L when only receiving 3lbs and most importantly beating put the kettle on (rec 3lbs) over 2m 4f when Robin was last seen (way back in Oct 2019).

Really hoping she isn’t injured and comes out for an easy run before heading here..

                  currently 16/1 NRNB with PP

                    • I listened to the Racehour Podcast last night. In a couple of occasions they said 'if the rumours are to be believed, all isn't well with BDD.'
Plenty of people have their ear to the ground on here so just wondered if anyone else had heard these rumours.

I havent seen or heard anything, but it crossed my mind that maybe she WONT run at all. I know we have debated for months now Mares Hurdle, stayers or chase, but now my suspicions and doubts are stronger than ever she might not be fit or ready. Has ruby mentioned her much?

Ruby said she'd go straight to Cheltenham a few weeks ago on RTC. I am sure she's fine, the rumour mill always pops up this time of year about unseen horses, understandable, but my first reaction to 'news' like this is to check the market. If there's no drift then I tend to think its bullshit. If there are firms pushing out and a move on the exchange, then there may be some truth. Really hard to know with some of Willies. There are state secrets in North Korea less guarded than all things BDD!

The last update (a couple of weeks ago) is that she's back in full training and showing no ill effects. No date set for a comeback run but it might be late February/early March with returning to hurdles first an option. Purely a personal opinion that the Festival will come too soon but the entry in the Mares Hurdle would indicate that Willie hasn't yet ruled it out.

I'm not sure if I mentioned on here, with the name. Iv hinted many times, and put her up at 14s on my own site a few weeks back.
