Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

    • For me the Thurles race the other day was very flattering
for Elimay, I don’t think Allaho was at any point troubled and I don’t think anyone truly believes she is 110 lengths better than BOD

Outside of that what exactly has she done?
      lost to buildmeupbuttercup over hurdles
Beat Agusta Gold and Tintangle twice over fences
20 lengths behind Roksana in the Mares

Has she ever actually beaten a good horse?

(I say this as someone who has backed her)

Well she beat Easy Game, Battleoverdoyen, Balko Des Flos and Annamix (ha, alright not him).... but the others have won graded races...

It's just she's not up against anything, her run in open company, against the boys, is just rock solid and you can be confident she'll run to it....

Her likely competition have done even less.

So it's more a case of she might not even need to be "that good".....and she can still win it.

I really, really struggle to find 3 horses that would finish ahead of her.

Worst case scenario would be PTKO and BDD turned up, and even then, I'd have her next best.

What an enjoyable read about a horse I don't care about.
Careful Kev. She may bite you on the bum.

That does make you think twice about backing her. She was very poor it has to be said in that Mares Hurdle.

I don’t think that race can be taken at face value is my point. Has Allaho improved 85 lengths since Easy Game beat him last Christmas? Again I’m sure you don’t think it’s BODs true running?
it was just a really weird race that I struggle to take seriously for form lines.

No obviously I wouldn't take it literally, but was a literal answer to the question.

I don't know which other horses could have gotten that close to Allaho.... based on his festival placed efforts, he sets a decent enough standard, that I don't think rivals are up to.

He's not a Grade 1 horse himself, but none of the opposition are (unless BDD/PTKO ran)

So back to my point, I think she's rock solid each way, as there aren't 3 better than her.

Easy to predict how this will go. She gets battered and it's wrong trip, she goes close and its wrong trip perfect prep, she wins and it's I told you so............

If the ground comes up very heavy she's not a complete no hoper over 2m, in fact probably far from it if its that type of ground, but there's no way backers should be happy about this news IMO.

Her last win at Cheltenham came off the back off a 3 month break - every time she's raced Feb pre Cheltenham she has been battered, so I think running a 10 year old mare over a non-ideal trip 30 days from presumably their main target is an unnecessarily risky. Gordon will of course know what I don't, she probably wont even be in the race to win it, but it feels a little bit like a loose loose to me.

I can't believe I've dedicated this much time to Shattered bloody Love! Willies will probably chew her up and spit her out, let's talk more about them!!!

If she wins I'll be surprised, it won't be a 'I told you so' from me. Though as you note the ground certainly could be key.

Hahaha you've just made more of an excuse pre race for her than I did

I wonder whether the result for Elimay may well have an impact on where WPM goes with BDD

Its a last chance of a prep after pulling out with injury last time and good place prize money i suppose. Don't see her winning. If she can get within 4/5 lengths of Elimay it'll be a decent run .
