I love Concertista. I know her form is a bit hit and miss but I think she could be a complete weapon. I might be wrong in time but I won't be at all surprised if she ends up in the CH, or Mares Chase - backed for both at 25's+.

Cheers Lobos I think I misread that quote, read ‘the big one’ and immediately thought CH but in the context of the start of the sentence referencing the Mares programme he probably means the Mares Hurdle. Considering he looks well stocked for the CH and the Mares Chase that would appear to make most sense. Edited my original post

Just read the update on BDD and really happy that the Chase will hopefully be her aim as have also been throwing the free bets at her when she was 14s(but not as many as Kev!). Just doubled her up now with If The Cap Fits today with real money to try and have a bit more on. Also happy as I really like Concertista for the Mares Hurdle.

2nd year running he hasn't mentioned her. Won a graded chase as a novice, unbeaten.........

WP in the RP

She's had a training setback, so you won't get to see her until the second half of the season. It's nothing major at all, but she's one I want to mind rather than rush. She's a big unit and a lot easier to keep sound over hurdles, but we will certainly be giving strong consideration to the new mares' chase at Cheltenham in March.

Reckon a lot of where BDD ends up with be based on what Honey does.
if she goes for mares hurdle then chances of BDD going chase increase, if she goes CH then chances are BDD goes mares hurdle.

I'd be REALLY surprised if she goes mares chase. The fact PP are biggest price absolutely reeks, and that line about her being easier to keep fit over hurdles says it all. He will keep talking up the chase for his bookmaker friends then decide it was in the horses best interest to stick to hurdles

She's taken very well to fences and goes for the Listed mares' chase at Clonmel on Thursday. She hasn't put a foot wrong and long may that continue.

Where can I find the information on Aione staying over hurdles? I don’t doubt for one minute any info on here. Just have quite a few points staked at 66/1 and to cash out those kind of bets I need to see with my own eyes before doing so

She's a lovely mare, who looks to me like she will be even better over fences than she was over hurdles. She wants a trip and mares' novice chases will be right up her street this season.

They were biggest price on Black Hercules to go JLT before they cut the price.

Taking the PP odds too literally from first show could be dangerous.



However, you're absolutely right with the rest, and I'd still have it odds on she went Mares HURDLE at this stage. I just feel the double figures is worth the gamble as she's probably evens at best in my eyes against the shower of shite being talked up in this race.

Benie Des Dieux would absolutely thrash every single horse mentioned in this thread so far (bar Honeysuckle, who is a worthy competitor). Hurdles or Fences, doesn't matter, she's so far clear.


She's actually rated lower than Happy Diva over fences.... imagine how the bookies would price up the match bet. Imagine Happy Diva 10/11 .....



Current price factors in that she probably won't run, so that's the gamble. I'm perfectly happy with my position though
