  • Looks like some bookies have moved the Mares Chase to Friday?

Hopefully we get some race conditions soon too.

Its never that easy though is it ; long road to Cheltenham yet and for those fancy dockets to tumble but here's hoping.

Ladbrokes prices go unnoticed a lot now because they are not on oddschecker anymore which is a pity. Anyone not already a great price still tho, can't last much longer.

Do you consider the Mares Hurdle a real Grade 1?

Willie is probably thinking long term, mop up 8x Grade 2 Mares Chases and they'll bump it to Grade 1 in time anyway.

I think what you are MASSIVELY forgetting, is that a Cheltenham win, is a Cheltenham win, and Willie is looking at that number first and foremost. That is plain to see.

He isn't "pussying out" either, what a silly phrase?

Take the 12/1, you'll start feeling better about it all straight away

I’m on at 14s and have been for few weeks and hope she does run in the Chase. And Pussying out wasn’t the phrase used by me.

Kev - yes it was announced last week or the week before that it replaces the Grand Annual which is going to be run earlier in the week.

              Cheers NW.

That race could well become the All-or-nothing-get-out-stakes then! A Willie Mullins shortie on the penultimate race every year?

Ahh, apologies. I didn't read the quote when I read your post....I was so confused

Now I see the original source, I'm not surprised

                    • ...Colreevy a standing order on here previously gets a mention on Mullins stable tour for a ‘future Mares Chase’. I suppose next March is the future but I don’t see her in the market.

                        • Taken the BDD 10/1 with PP for real stuff and a good dollop of this week’s free bets. Decent bonus this year that PP are 100% cash back immediately irrespective of whether they cut the price. Downside is any drift and your cash out will take a hammering and of course it will likely disappear altogether when they go NRNB. As others have said don’t think this target is a given but definitely in the mix as already indicated by RR in OJA. My main concern would be that he looks a bit lopsided for chances in this race compared with the Mares Hurdle with Salsaretta and Elfie also likely heading this way. Would likely leave Concertista the main option for the Mares Hurdle

Cheers Lobos I think I misread that quote, read ‘the big one’ and immediately thought CH but in the context of the start of the sentence referencing the Mares programme he probably means the Mares Hurdle. Considering he looks well stocked for the CH and the Mares Chase that would appear to make most sense. Edited my original post

                              • I took it as being the mares hurdle for Concertista too.
