If they think that Salsaretta has a decent chance of winning then Benie will stay over hurdles to give them a chance of winning 2 races at the Festival.

As a general point, nothing much will change this year and anyone who bets (with real money) based on a cut in price can have no complaints if/when it transpires that they've been suckered in.

PP have shortened he twice in recent days maybe weeks not sure exactly but she is 10/1 now and she was 14s. Again it doesn't mean much as no plan has been made where she is going

But they were stand out 9/2 for Envoi Allen for a fair while before they cut, then cut again.

I don't think oddschecker is consistent as it used to be with going Blue when a horse is cut by a firm. Saint Roi seemed to go from 20s to 16s before his run which I don't think ever went blue. Think it was missed on here which I don't think it would have been if there was blue across the board.

I wouldn't say I'm any happier now than I was before. Willie saying it's an option is as loose as it gets. Apart from ruling her out of it (which I wouldn't have expected) I'm in the same position.



I still wouldn't back her with cash, however I'm glad I built up a bit with the free bets. I'd start adding her with free bets though, it seems a sensible use of them given that I believe she'd be the best horse in the race (assuming HdB doesn't u-turn and send Honeysuckle chasing)

I actually backed it the other way around first though, as I was pretty convinced Honeysuckle would be going chasing after reading that HdB had said she'd been schooling prior to Cheltenham, so I won't pat myself on the back too hard
