Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Was with sky, was willing to take the gamble as no cash out. See it is now 16s, not sure if can take credit for that or not! Probably FJ moving markets again! Lurkers everywhere or enough of us went in to make them cut.

Stormy Ireland did it well, the conditions of the race suited her. She jumped very big because she's been schooling over fences - she jumps well over fences even though she isn't a big mare. She has great scope and we might go down that route but we'll have a chat with connections. The same owners already have Laurina going chasing too. Eglantine Du Seuil badly needed the race, she ran well before blowing up. She'll stay hurdling - Willie Mullins, trainer of Stormy Ireland and Eglantine Du Seuil
Took 22’s with Hills whilst pissed a few weeks ago. I regretted the bet the next day and mulled over it since but reading that has made me feel a lot better. I always thought she was competitive and showing improvement last season but thought she’d hit her ceiling over hurdles unless she found the right handicap race. I hope she goes chasing and interested in seeing how she gets on.

        Very straightforward, looks great.
I'll probably start her off over hurdles. I haven't discussed it fully with Jared (O’Sullivan, owner) but I think we might start her in that two-and-a-half-mile hurdle at Ascot towards the end of November, then make a plan from there.
Its s difficult one. He'll want to find the best winning opportunity for her at the Fez should she come back to her best. I suppose it'll depend on where Honey/Benie are heading if she is to stick to Mares races but I suspect she may end up in something like the Coral Hurdle.

        • Presumably if they are going chasing with Stormy and she takes to it, Laurina will go elsewhere. Stormy is tiny so probably not the scopiest which could be a worry if she doesn't take to it immediately they'll draw stomps and go back hurdling. The way she races she could be very exciting over them can't wait to see it.

If Laurina got back to her best she'd have Stormy for breakfast. Big if though.

Yes she would, but as you say a big IF. Don't think horses will be campaigned around her this year like probably was the case coming out of her novice hurdle season.

It's possible chasing has been part of the problem and if they can keep her over hurdles, she might stay ok. It's happened before.

Can only get 25/1 but as a confirmed target she is considerably better value than G1 horses PTKO and Benie who are a fraction of Laurina’s price.

                              • With this being on the Friday every chance some Mares could run in both the Hurdle and the Chase
