  • Very high rated flat horse and on the new course with only 2 hurdles in last mile

Quite fancy Tritonic to beat the Irish now.....certainly looks fantastic race

    • Two words. Solo and redicean. I have tritonic at 33s and 15/1 to win today and the triumph but we've seen performances like this before only to be left wondering why we put so much stock in kempton form for cheltenham, but im still very happy to be on nonetheless.

One thing I did like though was that he was niggled along at times to close up which makes me think he might actually be better suited to more of a stamina test at cheltenham.

      • will be interesting to see if that changes Gordon tactics...looks like tritonic loses ground every hurdle so surely you'd want to try and push towards the front so you can take advantage

Don't let recency bias get in the way

The Irish (Gordon) has a line on this British juvenile division with Duffle Coat?

I'd be amazed if he didn't have at least one of his that could have done what Tritonic did today?

Tritonic has just proved he's the best of the British, which you'd struggle to argue is ahead of the Irish. The best you can do, is say "we don't know"..... which is obviously spot on

At the current prices I'd be surprised if people back Tritonic.... 4/1 best price now.... that is short.

It’s his flat ratings that make him of interest to me....specially on that track

Advantage of AP is many of us will be on both at decent prices anyway

              Great race to enjoy

              • Anybody else feel they’re struggling to be as impressed as most by tritonic earlier? Looked like the second stopped dead after the last to me and he looks like he lost ground at a lot of hurdles too. Nearly fell over when I saw him nearly half the price of Quilixios.

This thing Tritonic looks like it might be my Lay of the race. Can't have this race for the Triumph. And it's A.King.

Hes exciting because he was a very good flat horse, much better than zanahiyr

If he was a former 99 rated aidan obrein horse trained by Joseph i bet hed be much shorter and much more hyped

Clearly isn't the finished article but surely you can see why people on at double figures were delighted today

Ah sure not knocking that at all that’s what the games all about isn’t it. To be fair, I think both he & zanahiyr are jokes of prices right now the pair. He’s beaten relatively little as well today. Credit to those on at double figure prices but I’d be amazed if he didn’t drift. Then again I think he’s got the profile that all the LaDs in the UK will latch onto so maybe not.

Yep Im with you. Form looks very, very average to me. Clearly a highly promising sort and looks like he will benefit from going a bit further, which I think is a positive for this race, but Id say his current price is bonkers.

He was 9/2 when I looked

                                That does look short
