I remember watching thinking he had no chance coming down the hill, Power was getting pretty serious with him but he seemed to relish the hill once they turned for home.

Whether he’ll be good enough to stay with the likes of Quilixious, Zanahiyr and any others for that matter as he seemed outpaced that day, but if he can be close enough turning for home again you know he’ll relish the hill.
Yeh it's an interesting one. The argument that he may get outpaced and have to make up too much ground carries less weight given the ground he made up vs Adagio IMO. He might not be the flashiest, or have the sexiest profile, but he's a right little player in this at a fair enough price IMO. We still don't really know how good any of the Irish are ahead of him in the market. The could be a bit better, a lot better, or not better at all. DRF will be key, just hope we see Zan v Aseel V DC

    • Tritonic declared for Saturday.

Couple of other interesting runners in there too, Stepney Causeway for Dan Skelton, under the same ownership as Allmankind, and also Vulcan, who is under the guidance of Dr Newland, who recently sent out another juvenile in Sage Advice, for the same owners.

Tritonic should have 10lbs in hand on flat form, but that doesn't always translate, and Stepney Causeway has only had the 4 flat runs and racked up a rating of 85 already. May have to back him, if I can get him priced up.

      • So we may see duffle coat get a couple
of pounds drop if he runs at the DRF and isnt quite up to it against the big boys of the division

          • Duffle Coat reminds me so much of Tiger Roll when he won his Triumph beating some really well fancied speedier types. IMO he'd be the first on Gordon's team sheet for the race .

14/1 with B365 (10/1 NRNB pp) looks good to me. Duffle Coat has arguably the single best piece of form among the juveniles when giving 5lb and a 5l beating to Adagio over course and distance in November

Or maybe 4!! i have hope that Teahupoo ends up here as well. Be interesting if he gets another run into him before march as only had 2 runs in his life thus far, and if so what rating he would have then..........with Boodles in mind.
I know his trainer said hes a stayer next season, but that dont put me off, would not be the first Triumph winner to end up staying further,in some cases a lot further!!

Also as said on here earlier re the Supreme, i will definitely be keeping an eye on things re trainers juveniles, cos to me this could really be a case of one of them going there instead.

                • You'd imagine Duffle Coat's best chance of something is if they go too fast and he can pick up the pieces staying on. He looks all stamina to me which can be a big benefit in the Triumph.

To add to the thing about his rising rating for staying in his box, he'll surely be better on the new course on Friday than the old course on Tuesday. So both things combined would suggest he surely goes to the Triumph.

                  • Does anyone have any news as to why heross du seuil was pulled out today? I am assuming it’s the heavy ground and hendo being hendo.
