A lot of talk in the Racing Post Weekender about the possibility of one of Gordon's 4yos' being aimed at the Supreme or even Ballymore given the depth he has in this division.

Both/any/all of his would have to get through the DRF unscathed before it became a serious consideration you'd have thought?

It's nagging on my mind that Zanahiyr and Riviere D'Etel are in the same ownership......and one that likes a runner at the Fez.
Riviere would get a 15lbs allowance in the Supreme which could put her well into the mix on the numbers. Just worry that a keen going 4yo filly with only two hurdles races behind her could find the water a little deep.
As you say Quilixios is an interesting one for sure.

Queen's Brook's not going to be winning it is she?
What a rubbish option to have, but I won't derail the thread rambling about my thoughts on the Mares Novice Hurdle

Couple of things, and I know it probably remains a big if, but IF Quilixios was rerouted to the Supreme, that would show clear intent how highly Zanahiyr is held in regard by Gordon and Co.
Would also be likely they reroute Ballyadam (under same ownership) to the Ballymore, then that race becomes even more interesting.
Gordon likely has quite a few for this and the Boodles, so can easily see one being rerouted.

Keith Donoghue really talking up Quilixios in his sporting life update. Saying there’s not much between him and Zanayhir.
apologies it’s not sporting life..

I'd say lock away your best chance in the Triumph and if you really think it's the business then consider moving your next best for the novice races.

Yeah, we have this every year and it all emanates from lazy journalist.
Couple of years ago Hislop ran out of facts and started the Defi du Seui could be targeted at the Supreme when the animals trainer Hobbs said it never entered their mind to run anywhere other than the Triumph.

I agree that's it's a possibility. Gordon has a stong hand of juvenile hurdlers. I make it five he potentially needs to split up, so either he goes mob handed or he looks elsewhere for two or three.
Quilixios surely only gets switched if Ballyadam is out of the Festival. They've been adamant he's a two miler this season, so it would be a complete u-turn to go to the Ballymore. I still have a feeling Quilixios is going to turn up in the Boodles given his rating is lower than Duffle Coat.
Zanahir and Riviere D'etel could be split, but as has been said surely RD would go for the Mares Novice if that were the case. I think the latter is likely.
Duffle Coat could given he has Cheltenham experience, but you'd think he'd be better suited by the old course on Friday.
Teahupoo could I suppose, but would need to run at teh DRF and post a big number. I think he's more likely going to having a quiet race for a mark for the Boodles.
The others look like Boodles horses.
I think we may see the following:
Triumph - Zanahiyr and Duffle Coat
Boodles - Quilixios, Teahupoo, Longlaw, and Glorious Zoff
Mares Novice - Riviere D'etelLuck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.
