Might go to the DRF next?
Awaiting post race comments to maybe get an idea on where gordy sees him in his pecking order, could be a boodles type yet. As for youmdor maybe something a bit easier to get his confidence back?

will see if they go drf but both trainers have other horses that they might want to aim at that, quilixios and french aseel among others, time will tell I guess.

No reason not to run more than one, for either trainer.

Can't keep them all apart forever, hope not anyway!

      • Gordon says winner more of a Stayer for next season than a 2 mile horse.

Hopefully similar to what he would have said about Tiger Roll.

Having stamina a big tick for the Triumph (or handicap hurdle). Just need him to have speed and class and we're away

Ah yes, just seen it for myself. It's probably a good thing that turf gave way.

Youmdor didn't even see the hurdle and he still gets in close when he can see others jumping it. He was an iffy jumper at Gowran and despite having eight weeks to school, is still vulnerable to careless mistakes. Serious engine but I can't get too enthusiastic about him when he's still got plenty to learn.

                • Very thrown together look at those who ran at the festival in races other than the Triumph or Fred Winter, and a look at the top ten in the Triumph markets at the moment. Will likely expand on these when I'm not packing up but if anybody has suggestions on this line of inquiry, I would be happy to hear them.

Given the same owners also have French Aseel for the Triumph, and seemingly nothing for the Supreme (neither does Nicky for that matter), do you think we could see HDS going down the Supreme route instead?

Looked far more green than their other horse, who looked like a Pro.

They've got the favourite for the Moscow Flyer tomorrow?

Well in 2008, you had the Henderson trained Binocular run in the Supreme (where he was second to JPs Captain Cee Bee) while Franchoek (a horse purchased by JP mid season) carried the colours as Triumph favourite so the parallels are certainly there.

Henderson doesn't though and we know the Donnelly's leave it up to the trainers. Was just a thought outside the box, anyway.
