They’ll all give you different answers is my guess but as influential rich people I imagine the one thing they have in common is for their strategy to be proved correct, whatever that might be, because rich and influential people don’t like being wrong.
They probably want to win the best races possible but Ricci has proved over the years that if a horse isn’t capable of winning big races he sells them, JP on the other hand keeps everything even if they’re 105 rated hurdlers.

Probably a discussion for another thread...

I think if Gordon said they should run in that race, they'd consider it.
And likely tell him to get knotted
I accept your point. For me, it’s triumph or nothing. I just don’t think they would risk such an expensive purchase in a handicap. He has a bright future, if they didn’t think he would win the Triumph (or place at least) I imagine they’ll just keep him for next season

      • Duffle coat goes here then

        • Yeah winner sets a fair 130 standard so Nass on his acid test disappoints, I'd be cashing out as the Irish look so far in front.

          • The first two could be very smart. Pulled a long way clear

            • Maybe I'm way behind with this but I see French Assel has joined Willie.

              • Id fancy adagio to reverse the form

they were gutted duffle coat beat him and felt he hit the front too early

Tom scu gave him a belter today I thought, just coaxing him along

Then when he went for him the response was immediate

Houx gris travelled very very well before fading, one to watch next time out I think, was similar to the race pic d'orhy ran in the triumph

                • I think Elliott knows he has the English covered now in this, only unknown is French Aseel and his only threat. It just depends if he sends 2 or 3 of his to this. Some decisions to make

I could also see Nassalam reversing form with Adagio.

Nassalam stayed on well again towards the finish, think the stiffer hill finish of Cheltenham will suit him more than Adagio who used his flat speed at the right time there to get past Nassalam. Better ride on Adagio IMO. Both pulled well clear though either way you look at it.

I think the Irish form trumps the British form though, so it may not matter if the form holds up or not between the pair.

                      Yeah, for Joe Donnolly.

Nassalam pulled like an absolute lunatic at the start

I agree on the irish form being better

Not a race il have a bet in till the day though personally

                        • Given Adagio has beaten Nassalam today (albeit they may switch form in a rematch)....

Duffle Coat beat Adagio pretty easily in the end when they met, 5L.

I have 25/1 about Nassalam but not sure it's worth holding on to...... I feel like Gordon Elliott has them covered too easily to throw too many darts of the race?

                          Too hastey?

I cashed my 25/1 Kev. I think the Irish will probably be streets clear of the English.

Just wondering whether to wait for them to go NRNB and perhaps take a bit of a profit?

                              Or it it cuts up....

Don't want to rush it, as he's 14/1 so unlikely to lose my money.

Yeah waiting for NRNB isn’t a bad plan. I wanted to re invest mine into something else but if you can wait he probably won’t change much for the foreseeable
