There is no limit to what mark you can carry in the Boodles.

They did away with a 140 limit a few years ago.

Good to know, sorry I was going off the info in the bio for the Boodles thread, the very first post (weight range 0-140).

          • Rumours that the Donnellys have bought French Aseel and he's off to Closutton.

Strictly rumours .. anyone heard similar?

I read he was bought by JP and has gone to Willie.

Which I have to admit, surprised me a little.

Your rumour would make more sense to me, is JP back now getting involved?

JP back getting involved where Kev? He hadn't stopped sending the odd horse to WPM?

I meant after the death in the family and not having any runners.

Sorry wasn't clear, I also can't put my finger on quite why it's slightly surprising he'd send one to Willie, when I know there would be evidence to the contrary. Just out of the blue I suppose? Although, we knew the horse would be sold AND the likely owner AND that he has horses with Willie. So really, I'm just chatting shit. It surprised me, I have no idea why

Maybe not but don't forget A Plus Tard! If Gordon did think Zanahiyr was a good thing then would you rather finish 2nd to him or win the Fred Winter? Think it's highly unlikely as reading comments from connections they don't seem to think there is a lot between them.

APT was a confusion of form for them in his Novice Chase year.

Beaten by Winter Escape I recall when carrying a low age-allowance weight.

The trainer didn't see the left-handed preference before he had bolted up at Cheltenham by half-a-furlong.

That preference was then confirmed by a poor run at Punchestown 6 weeks later.

But shows they will handicap runners regardless and especially if they are thrown in!

                          • So when the news breaks about French Aseel being bought and moving trainer what price do we think he goes? 4/1?

He put up the best RPR for a Juvenile Hurdle on debut, this season, at 139.

That rating was better than Zanahiyr put up (134) when he won the Grade 2, carrying a 3lb penalty at the same meeting.

Being bought now, for big money, may suggest that they think he could put it up to everything at the DRF and Cheltenham.

Very pleased - jumped on @ 18/1. Does make me think possibly Youmdor isn’t good enough if Willie was crucial in orchestrating a deal
