Apologies Kotkijet, I thought I had read somewhere that you were less positive about him because of his breeding.

Glad you like him too though

      • ....noticed Nassalam was into a general 20-1 ahead of the race, now a best priced 16-1 with main firms.

        • Nassalam going for the Finale Junior Hurdle at Chepstow next. Should answer a few more questions!

                • Keith Donoghue Q&A- wonder who the others are?

John Wilson (@JSHWILSON) asked: "Would you ride Quilixios or Zanahiyr in the Triumph given a free choice ?"

I'd love to have this choice, John. It's a very tight call, but based on what Zanahiyr did last time, I'd probably just be leaning towards him. Both are very good juveniles though and both are real strong gallopers who will be suited to the likes of Leopardstown and Cheltenham.

Don't forget as well we have a few more juveniles who will hopefully make the track this season, we seem to be very strong in this division this year.

                  • Listening to Keith Donaghue it very much sounds that Duffle Coat is Triumph bound and rightly so. He deserves his place in it. Gordon will have a three pronged attack and if it comes up testing on the Friday I can see DC outstaying his more fancied stablemates a bit like when Tiger won the race.

The race he won at Cheltenham he was being ridden down the hill but didn’t half stay on to win. Not many would have fancied him from the position he was in with couple others going better at the time.

                      • The rpr 130 figure given to Nassalam is a complete joke. The horse that finished 2nd was rated OR 112 yet only judged to have run to a mark of 77 rpr. I believe that a more accurate figure of 157 would be appropriate .

What figures are you looking at BigFish? RPR of 133 on hurdle debut then 140 lto, if you truly believe he ran a 157 you want to be smashing what ever you can afford to lose as that figure for a juvenile is astonishing (unless your called Solo and someone gets excited)

                          • OK i didn't bother checking the form book before posting as to the proper rpr and relied on my notes at the time. I still feel that his rating is undervalued and he will attain this figure. And yes I'm all in and won't be looking elsewhere for the winner.

Have you backed him accordingly then fella?

Have you got your diary/bets posted?... you've got loads of contrary opinions so far from what I can fathom.... look forward to seeing one of the many other ways to skin the cat...

Given that you're "all-in" on Nassalam, I know I'd find it really interesting and I doubt I'm alone.
