Apologies for the radio silence on the thread. I will hopefully be taking a closer look at all of the new names before too long but previews for Friday's races, shooing off the remainder of this batbug thingy along with indulging friends checking to see that I'm still alive have unfortunately taken priority for the moment.
I have noticed that Willie Mullins has inevitably been a topic of discussion so I have whipped up a quick table showing where and when the yard's top juveniles since 2008/09 have made their stable debuts. Without wishing to pre-empt my preview for Friday's race, I have also done a little graph on the type of horse he typically enters in the race. While I won't be calling Youmdor the strong prospect without going through the rest of the field with a fine tooth comb, it looks likely that he will get the nod. Furthermore, if he is anything like the yard's previous entries in the race, the 50/1 available on him for the Triumph (was 40/1 when I did a piece on him earlier in the thread) might not be around come Friday afternoon.
