      • I will be looking for 12F French Flat horses moving into Juvenile hurdles a lot more, now, with maybe a single win, as well as looking at UK/IRE 10F/12F Flat horses moving into Juvenile hurdles.
I backed Zanahiyr who's with Elliott, partly because if these stats.
And I think they paid a bit for him, the owners of Bosses Oscar/Queens Brook are fairly new to the game and look like they've bought some decent horses via Gordon, using the money they got from their business and business sale (even though it is less now cos of covid)
Think they bought Hollow Games also.

Q mentions the one above, Zanahiyr, then there is Youmdor with WPM, Night And Day (unsure who this one has gone to), Dawn Rising as a potential for Joseph too, there are others also

These are not necessarily bang on 12f horses, but I'd be looking to give or take in that area.

Definitely worth putting a comprehensive list together for the trends people on here.

              • Just so no one gets confused.
                Zanahiyr is IRE bred.
                ex aga khan.
Rated about mid 80's. Looking at his collateral form.
last raced in July for Mick Halford and won his maiden over 1m 4f.
No idea how good he'll be, or if we'll even see him, just took a punt on it.

                • Nice one Kotkijet

Doesn't surprise me the French Hurdles take the Fred Winter more than the Triumph.

Think I'll stick to looking at the French and UK/Irish flat horses for the Triumph from here on out.

                  • Baladin de Mesc was beaten eighteen lengths in the listed chase yesterday but apart from missing La Plage and being slow over the last, jumped well for the most part. https://www.equidia.fr/courses/2020-10-11/R1/C1

Quilixios is set to run at Punchestown tomorrow, the preview for that race is available on the juvenile hurdler thread, and Midnights Legacy has been declared for Wetherby on Wednesday. Nicky Henderson’s Overpriced Mixer (40/1) and Paul Nicholls’ Viroflay hold entries at Kempton this Sunday.

The 'not a tip' lands as well each way at 20/1...

                    That's gotta be....!
Cheers Kev! Must admit that while I did not have money on the race, I did sport a grin of the shit eating variety

Think my biggest concern with Monmiral is that he is described as a chasing type by Paul Nicholls and his pedigree certainly backs that up as his winning siblings were all better as chasers and the dam is a half-sister to La Landiere. Nevertheless, he is being targeted at the Cheltenham November meeting and while Hell Red looks a more natural hurdler, there is still plenty expected of Monmiral this season.

                    • La La La Landiere.
One of my earlier memories was backing this at 5/4 to win the cathcart chase.
The seventh win on the bounce for the horse that season.
The singalong for such a horse was good fun.
Replaced this race with the Ryanair couple of years later.

One of my earlier memories too Q.

1999 was the first festival I punted at and it took until the last race of the 2000 festival before I got my first winner. Master Tern in the Country Hurdle.

I'd like to think my punting has improved since then.

Denis O'Regan takes the ride on Quilixios with Bryan Cooper now riding Lucky Fella.
