I didn't even look at the cards as I rarely find festival winners at Fontwell. However, is it just the loose connection with Goshen that makes him appealing or is there some substance there too?
Same owner who has Botox Has, who I was told would have been Triumph bound if it wasn't for Goshen. Nassalam finished not far behind Hemevoici on hurdles debut in France, who then ran in a race that has produced the best Juvenile in France so far this season, Theleme. Nassalam has the potential to be very very good, whether Goshen level, I'm honestly not sure, but I believe the yard think so.
On the breeding side he's by the sire of Botox Has, but also Klassical Dream (festival winner), and his Dams Sire produced progeny like festival winners, Annie Power and Minella Rocco, which would add weight to his staying ability, usually required for a Triumph.
Also worth noting his time yesterday was less than 6 seconds slower than Goshen last season, racing on 'Heavy' as opposed to 'Soft' ground that Goshen encountered.
It's very early days, and I don't think he had an awful lot to beat, though Shentri, of Dan Skeltons, was very much more experienced and a multiple winner in France.

Of the rest the main ones thinking of backing , depending on entries etc would be- Heross Du Seuil
- Saint Sam
- Bring on the Night
BRING ON THE NIGHT
He's a three-year-old that we got from Andre Fabre earlier in the season. He's a nice type of horse that I think we'll only bring out in the second half of the season.
