Eventually one will go in but I wouldn’t want to be going too heavy given the history of his Jan runners.
Dont they get their jabs beginning of january each year?

    • I've used Caldwell Potter today, however I'd now be weary that after today he'll have a mark for the novice handicap chase at the festival!

Maybe they are eyeing up that route, given connections have L'eau Du Sud & Kalif Du Berlais!

Yes they do. It’s in the lap of the gods which ones run their race and which don’t .

They do and not many run well from memory. Most run stinkers comparative to their usual form.

100% mate, he’s not got anywhere close to the ammunition he once had! Shame really as he’s a top top class trainer! Even if he had 1 other big spending owner it would help him. It’s all about the purchases though, de la hey spends a lot and not many are top grade 1 animals.

              • I think Caldwell Potter is a bit of a dodgepot. Untrustworthy and quirky and that's without any injections.

Not sure he's a dodgepot. When has he ever chucked a race away that he was going to win?

I guess it depends on your definition of dodgepot. My definition of a dodgepot is a horse that is always heavily fancied but regularly lets you down. Thats the very definition of Caldwell Potter.

                        How much was he again?

Yeah, seems to be looking like the case with him!

                            • Tripless and soft. A top combination for a racehorse.
