Yesterday’s attempt with beechwood went well so I’ll have another go with another newcomer who I think looks overpriced and that’s MOONFLEET MOMENT in the 6:30 at Wolverhampton.

currently around the 40/1 mark, this one cost 18k as a two year old and is by Sioux nation who has been doing well with his first crop this year, in that the vast majority of them are showing a decent level of ability at the least.

harry eustace wouldn’t be exactly known for first time out winners but his strike rate with 2yo is healthy enough around the 11-12% mark, and Hayley turner is a decent jockey booking. I wouldn’t be as confident about this one as I was with beechwood but I still think it looks overpriced and whether you want to have a go at the win or try a rollup with him to place using extra places with sky/365 I think it’s worth a small bet.

Olly Murphy’s Strong Leader looks a good option for a rollup tomorrow at Uttoxeter, unfortunately 11/8 just gone with B365, I think he was touched off by a good one at Cheltenham last time out!

Small play on Nigel Hawkes runner "just another one" in the first at Cheltenham, 50s on bet365, ran on well imo after looking really green on debut and beats the one at home that ran well yesterday, unexposed and half decent on the flat.

I’m playing Bonttay to place (3 places) in the mares bumper. Course form is excellent (1,1) with RPR at 110 less than Luccia only. The one year lay off is the concern. Think it’s an excellent race and that she’ll find one too good today (probably Luccia) but think 7/4 is very fair for a place.

The market isn't open yet but it seems Mick Beale is almost certainly going to leave QPR to go become Rangers new boss.

QPR almost appointed Neil Critchley in the summer, but his release clause at Blackpool was too high. Having been binned with Gerrard at Villa he's a free agent and I'd heavily expect us to move on him quickly. I know you can't roll these up, but you could do it manually
