You have backed the 2 runners against each other to roll up 2 different horses TKP? Or have backed the combinations so 4 bets in total?

Surely the latter or that’s a wasted bet for one of them no?

It’s probably a daft way of doing roll ups but if I fancy 2 horses in a race and can’t see either of them getting beaten I put them in roll ups with the fav combined with an antepost outsider and the 2nd fav in with the shorter odds AP. The risk probably outweighs the reward but I’ve had a good strike rate so far. I had Duffle Coat at 7/2 with Abracadabras at 5/1 (now 8/1!!!) as opposed to Longclaw at 13/8 with Delta Work 25/1.

        • I did write a long post earlier as some would have seen about why Crewe are great value tomorrow at 5/4 agains Gillingham but, like all of my posts today, it appears to have been removed. Seems to be forum issues.

          • You definitely did MOM - because I was convinced to use it in a roll up having read it! Any perspective that includes the view Steve Evans is spouting nonsense has to be taken seriously in my eyes...

Leaving to go closer to home and for more money? not be the first or the last, another long cold season awaits the stags this year

Screwed over my local team Dagenham back in the day too when manager of Boston. Think he got jailed for it too.

His suggestion after that Gillingham/Ipswich game that that was the best they’d played all season really shows that he’s a liar. Because there’s no way they’d have picked up a point against any team this year if they’d played like that. Really poor side. Compared to a brilliant footballing Crewe side who were unfortunate not to be leaving with a result against us Saturday. Add in gillinghams recent form being awful and that 5/4 is really huge. Thats the shorter version to my post earlier basically

Yeah but not in the middle of the season! especially when we were on such a good run. It all fell apart after that and we've not got it back since

                    • Does anyone have any insight into the Melbourne Cup?its a race I always like a little bet in but I know nothing about most of the horses. Obriens is favourite so will probably try a little roll up with that

Mullins has one runner, and it's drawn well (stall 9)
                        And it's 33-1
And it's changed it's name from Stratum to Stratum Albion (which is nice)

He does well in these big handicaps and I've backed it.
Also backed the AUS horse Surprise Baby as it was unfortunate last year and again is drawn ok in 7.

"Stratum (Jordan Childs) runs under the name Stratum Albion in the Melbourne Cup. He has a good draw and will like the ground. He is in terrific form and must have a really good each-way chance." Unusually upbeat report from wpm

Why the name change ? Is there another Stratum down under ?

                              Probably.
I think the albion is from Tony Bloom with his Brighton and Hove connection.

Stratum is a famous Sire down under, won the Golden Slipper back in 2005. Passed away about 4 years back
