  • I don’t do the roll ups but for anyone that does..

Trinbago to win the CPL Cricket at around 13/8 is huge value. I bet on the CPL every year to pay for the summer and in all my years of watching it (5 seasons - all of which made profit), Trinbago are the best team I’ve seen at any point. They’ve won all 6 group games so far with four to go so are guaranteed top spot effectively. Means they play the fourth placed team in the semi final. They’ll be around 1/3 for that. Providing they win, they’re 8/15 for the final.

The 13/8 is huge value to roll up some cheltneham horses if you wished.

Nice one MoM, this is what this thread is all about. I’m being very cautious on the roll ups this year as I am generating so many free bets. That said the one favourite I haven’t got stuck into due to the price is Easysland...so I have just put 3 of the recent big 3 roll up tips onto Easyslands at 53/1 with 365 for a point:

      Trinbago 7/5 (MoM)
      Golden Pal 100/3 (Gjt)
Philadelphia Eagles under 9.5 regular season wins 20/27 (Ista)

A couple of those prices are a bit tighter than originally advised and Golden Pal bets do not appear to allow cash out which is a bit annoying but happy to roll with it

      • MOM - CPL is all about the quality of your spinners and how many tosses you win, it is edging towards impossible to win a game chasing if the chasing team face 12+ overs of spin.
These wickets are brilliant for punting but the only play you can have with confidence is total unders and first six overs unders, a couple of lunatics (Pooran) have had freak knocks to win a game but all things considered you bat first and send down 16 overs of spin to defend...

Have to say I’m extremely confident with Trinbago. Have backed them from 11/4 down to 13/8 and here’s why.

It’s a spinning track. But it’s been made a spinning track deliberately with Trinidad hosting this year. And that is because they have the best two spinners in the competition in Sunil Narine (economy of 4.21 in the last 5 seasons of CPL) and Fawad Ahmed. Those two grip it to do some crazy things with the ball but have the experience and know how to pick up cheap wickets along the way with googlies and quicker balls. Those wickets pay. They’ve both done it all tournament. In Pierre they have another up and coming spinner who is building real pressure every game from his end. Again his economy is just so so good for 20/20 cricket.

With the bat they have enough quality in Munro and Narine to score big in the power play. That’s huge as the opening 6 overs can genuienyl decide some chases being tough and some being a formality. The strength in depth is very good too in the middle order. To then add to that the fact they have two finishers in Bravo and Pollard and I think they have arguably the strongest CPL team we’ve ever seen.

There’s been 20 games this tournament and I’ve bet on all of them to pay for the summer. 15 wins and 5 losses. However, my NAP for the competition was Trinbago to win it outright after about two games and I’d still have that as the case.

Agree about the unders paying though. But that’s all deliberate in the setup by the Trinbago team in charge of the pitch at the Brian Lara Academy. Home advantage is being utilised and that’s fair enough.

                • I reckon Vinndication should target his entire season around that right-handed race.

Rumour has it that he has a slight finger injury and because his IPL team have an arrangement with his CPL team, he’s been ordered to miss out until the semi final. That’s the rumour.

Another rumour is that he left the bubble to go to his mums for her birthday so is isolating for 10 days. Either of those could be true.

Either way, they’d have announced if he was out for the tournament so I expect him back for the semi final.

Campillo has been top 10 the last 2 weeks and should probably have won last week. Ok record at Valderrama and knows the course well. He can play absolutely lights out at times so given he’s playing well and like the course I like him for this.

...10 wins out of 10 now. I appreciate 20/20 can be a bit of a lottery but they are clearly the best team going into the knockout phase.

                              • I backed Guayana last year and they did the same then got hammered in the final!!! very frustrating. Guayana hitting form this year at the right time also. Should be a great final if the two get there.
