  • Think there will be another good roll up opportunity in the F1 this weekend.

LeClerc is already starting from the back of the grid due to penalties and theres a strong chance Verstappen and maybe Hamilton will too.

Bottas to win would be the one I'd recommend at the minute, it's a track he loves and he seemed to have found some form now. The 4/9 for a podium is pretty nailed on I think, and the 10/3 for the win is more than fair (should be favourite IMO)

Going to try and find a much sexier RAB to use myself but nothing is sticking out to me at the minute.

Worth noting it's supposed to rain all day tomorrow so qualifying could become a bit crazy - it's a shame there doesn't appear to be any Top-10 qualifying market on oddschecker as Russell could be an interesting bet for that in the wet.

Yeah for sure, forecasts can change quickly though... Still looks like the Mercedes have a decent advantage regardless. My only worry with Bottas is that he might let Hamilton go through.

Russell wouldn't be one I'm interested in particularly to be honest, the odds are rubbish after the recent hype. Hopefully there will be more markets forming over the next 24 hours or so

Yeah, I haven't monitored Russell odds to be honest. The only F1 bet I've ever had was Gasly to win the Italian Grand Prix last year when everyone knew Hamilton was gonna get his penalty for pitting when the pit lane was closed but he hadn't got it yet, so I'm quite happy to leave it at a 100% strike rate haha!

Agree with you re: Bottas. He's very quick, but I can't believe anything other than him pulling over to give Hamilton the win if they are 1-2. Perhaps Mercedes 1-2 could be an alternative play though if Max does take the engine penalties, which seems likely alongside his penalty for last weeks collision.

He might be asked to pull over for him... But if Hamilton is a fair bit behind (due to a grid penalty possibly if he takes a new engine) then Bottas might tell Merc where to shove it

Great shout on Gasly, fair play

Yeah the Merc 1-2 was what I was thinking too, just waiting for a few more RABs to be thrown up. Thinking something like a Sainz top 6 to be thrown in there but I'll have a better look through tomorrow.

Ah thanks - I'd love it if that bottas situation happened as well!

I'm out tomorrow but I'll be looking to see how your recommendations do over the weekend - good luck with whatever you end up choosing

              • The two bets I have for this aren't too far away from the thinking of you two guys. These for me are the key things to factor in.

                1. Leclerc starts from the back

                2. Verstappen will very possibly take his grid penalty.

                3. It's forecast for a wet Grand Prix

Hamilton benefits most from Verstappen's penalty and Bottas.

Norris is electric in the wet and Bottas is about as good as my mother in law when it's raining

Russell is also excellent in the wet and is most likely to finish ahead of the teams and drivers he's been fighting for a top 10 finish all season. In other words he has one of the best opportunities to score points he'll get all season

                Bets:

Skybet boost - Norris to 3/1 for a podium
Skybet - Hamilton win, Norris podium, and Russell top 10 at 14/1
Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.

Just be careful that there is a chance that Hamilton will also take a grid penalty and take a new engine. If he needs a new engine at any point this season (which they have hinted at) then this is probably the track to do it at. Agreed on Norris, excellent podium chances (Sainz is also excellent in the wet, but less popular than Lando so I'm hoping for some better odds there)

                  • Unless they absolutely need to I'd be surprised if Hamilton took it here though when Verstappen is up completely again it Dan. They will want to maximize the points chance. Surely they'll take the penalty when they think Mercedes power can reel him in with minimal damage.

                    • Verstappen starts at back of grid. Just confirmed on sky whilst watching practice 2 in case anyone wants to get in early with a bet.

With Verstappen confirmed I'd tend to agree, but just pointing out that it's a risk.

I've requested the Merc 1-2 but I'm not expecting great odds now, was hoping to get on before Max's engine penalty was announced.

Also requested Bottas podium, Sainz and Norris top 6, plus the same with a Hamilton win

                          • I can't touch Bottas in the wet. He's a disaster when it rains.

                              Made me chuckle.

                              • Bottas Podium, Gasly & Norris Top 6, Verstappen & Sainz Points @ 11/2
Hamilton To Win, Bottas Podium, Norris & Sainz Top 6 @ 5/1

Probably the two that are interesting me at the minute...
