It is one of the worst views as well unless you are in the front seats. Woodison Park

And the most uncomfortable seats... which are even more uncomfortable when Phil Neville scores a worldie in injury time and you have a three hour drive home

Cracking ground IMO, top 3 away grounds for sure. Places like the Emirates, Etihad, New White Hart Lane etc do nothing for me, love an old school ground and Everton is about as old school as it gets. The depth of the concourse is practically non-existent.

          • As a Fulham fan I’ve seen us lose several times at Goodison. I say see us, you can’t see a bloody thing there....

It's not as bad as the last two rows in the away end at Anfield - they don't sell those rows anymore because you literally can't see the goal down the other end.

Fortunately I moved down the front to witness John O'Shea's finest ever moment as a footballer

Agreed. It’s old and falling apart in a good way. Smells like a football ground too.

No offence intended, but I’m very happy many of your roll ups have failed tonight!

QPR was another - can’t see the goal line from the upper tier!

I was only a kid... if everyone stood up I wouldn't see the pitch let alone the opposite goal

                      • ...Goodison was at one stage the only club ground to host a World Cup semi-final. Up to the early ‘70s it was truly state of the art but like many of us, it got very old. As many have experienced, the viewing isn’t great from the back of those famous Archibald Leach stands but the ground still holds great history and a unique atmosphere.

I feared those of you who put The Toffees in accumulators today had misplaced judgement. That’s Everton.

                        • My main memory of Goodson (only time I’ve been - years ago) is having a scorecast up betting in the ground (Dempsey to score first and Everton to beat Spurs 2-1 I think ) and then it taking weeks to get a BWIN account set up online and ID validated etc just to get it paid out. It was such a ball-ache I told them to close the account as soon as they had finally sorted it!

                          • Mcfabulous has tempted me in just like Concertista did

His main rival is summerville boy and he looked vastly superior to him in the long distance hurdle

Only finished 2 1/2 in front of him but wouldve been double that had cobden not eased down once his winning chance had gone

Cobden is jocked up and looking at the forecast the ground will likely be gd to soft

Going to put him in 3 seperate free bet doubles with it came to pass, Bob olinger and stattler

can see him being odds on so taking the 11/8 now

                            • A somewhat ‘double or quits’ roll up here in an attempt to get Appreciate It for the Supreme doubling up with Bob Olinger in the lawlors race on Sunday

My Ballymore book mainly involved Appreciate It and Bob Olinger... hopefully a win on Sunday leaves me with a strong Supreme and Ballymore entry.. a defeat will likely leave me with none

                              • I need to get Appreciate It in a roll up for the supreme.

                                McFabulous @ 6/4
                                Imperial Aura @ 4/5
                                Appreciate It @ 11/4

                                Treble pays @ 16/1

I'm of the opinion McFab should be Imperial Aura's price and IA is bomb proof, so hoping the above can get me off to a decent roll up start in 2021!!
