What were Ruby’s comments regarding Monkfish, I haven’t gotten around to watching yet. That grade 1 has been very weak in recent times, often been a penalty kick for Elliot to be honest. Mullins appears to have fallen out with it as he won it a few times in a relatively short period in the early 2010s if memory serves.

Was something along the lines of Willie doesn't like sending them over that distance especially if the rain doesn't come this early in the season. Then said he hasn't had many runners in the last few years.

3.67/1 if you add them into the betslip. I do like it but I’d steer clear of the Monkfish race. Pencilfuloflead could be a very handy rival and @ 1/2 I wouldn’t want to touch Monkfish personally.

Pencil going Limerick currently Gordon says and Monkfish as per other comments might not go so I backed Latest Ex earlier at 7/1 which isn’t bad if the race cuts up.

Despite an horrific record in attempted roll ups I can’t see Epatante getting chinned at Kempton and although 4/9 doesn’t represent value to your average betting man it does mean a 44% boost when adding to others, I’ve added Epatante with:

I actually take the view that 7/4 for MVG this year is slightly too short. I’d have him 5/2.

It’s a year that he’s not dominated at all, arguably playing the worst season in his last few years, has a few in form rivals up against him and the lack of a crowd doesn’t seem to suit him (by his own admission).

I still think Dimitri Van Der Bergh is the one player this year whos both playing some of the best darts of anyone and priced up like he’s still the DVDB of old. 18s a few days ago was bonkers.

Was looking at nicking some extra value by adding Shishkin to a couple of March plays today but if Epatante couldn’t win the Christmas hurdle at 1/5 no doubt the mockers would be well and truly on Shishkin and he’d fall.
All roll ups are banned for 2022...
