Best thing to do is go searching first thing in the morning because the games being on at 3pm daily means the markets are being formed overnight most times. Some days the top 4 market is back and sometimes it isn’t. Very hit and miss with it being back up in time before ultimately being suspended for the next day. It’s on Betfair exchange though without ever being suspended.

          • …Royals currently playing. Batting, 68-1 after 7 overs seems a decent start with Buttler still at the crease.

That was a nervous watch last couple overs , glad they held on, good shout by who ever it was that put up the Royals top 4 and also someone mentioned dhawan top batter for his team which is looking good so far.

Was me for the top four bet. Was all over them for reasons explained at the time. 10/11 was a ridiculous price. Had 8 points at 10/11 and 4 more at Evens when they inexplicably drifted without playing. I couldn’t not go big with a price like that.

For what it’s worth after only 1 and 2 point bets in the comp so far on the match markets, I’ve got 4 points on Gujarat to win tomorrow at 10/11 against Punjab.

Strong argument the cult hero that is MS Dhoni cost them the game by kicking it back for 3 overs, think he had 8 off 9 balls.
Yes a great finish but more urgency earlier and they would probably have got up.
But you can’t have that conversation with many Indians….

                  • My 400/1 shot is looking promising So thanks for that.

Every team has already lost a game. Does look incredibly open, so the top 4 certainly looks the right call.

Aye, I'm surprised he didn't go for the second run off the third or fourth last ball as well to try and get back on strike. Although there was a few other occasions where he took a single rather than a two as well so maybe the legs aren't there anymore!

I was working with it on in the background if the two was never on...

I’ve always thought Dhoni as this amazing finisher was a bit of a myth. Doesn’t matter the situation he always comes in & uses 10 or so balls to get his eye in. Looks great when he starts connecting but more often than not it doesn’t come off & he’s out for 10 off 12 leaving his team needing 18 rpo.

Guess when he has one of those 40 off 20 innings all the poor knocks get forgotten about for a while.

There are millions of blinkered Indians who won't have a word said against him.
He's also been right at the centre of some questionable results over the years, again, not something anyone within 200 miles of Chennai will ever accept...

Completely this. The amount of times he costs his team 10 runs or more through "getting his eye in". Sharma similar, but can get away with it opening the batting.

I agree, but I think it is unfair to associate this with the game the other day. Don't get me wrong I was backing the Royals, but at 6 down with no more batsmen to come after himself and Jadeja, he actually did really well to give them a chance by taking it deep and they ultimately should have won, but for a badly selected single and some superb death bowling.

He is also 41 now...time to hang up the boots and let some young bucks through the ranks.

I said this 4/5 years ago but he is the face of Chennai and at the centre of every marketing programme for both Super Kings and IPL in general, his presence olis worth millions to the franchise and league, he’s going nowhere.
Oh and he earns a few quid too…

This won the other day by the way

No strong bets today on the IPL
