Skybet have today removed my eligibility for free bets, i use them all for the festival and them and hills are the only bookies who do an any race markets so a bit of a pisser ! I presume they must honour the bets already placed ?

I have been for 4 years, and the email they sent was that I'd lost my eligibility for Free Bets
For no good reason.

Only querying why they'd sent me email and text offers for an (bet ?10 and if your horses loses this race get a Free Bet worth ?10) and then I'd placed a ?10 bet in the race - but didnt get the Free Bet!!!

When I queried this, as 'why target and push a Free Bet at me if you didnt intend to give me ones' they gave me the Free Bet as a "gesture of goodwill"

Then on the following Monday (3 days later) that gesture of goodwill extended to emailing me restricting all my bets, for what now has lasted 4 years.

Rather the wrong use of the word Goodwill, in my view.

They really are a pathetic tin pot company, I'm not gonna call them bookmakers ! To be fair, i only used the account for the free bets and any race market and now the free bets have gone i won't use them at all, out of principal.

Being devlis advocate and stirring the tin pot, I can see why they have took this from you if that's all you used them for. I think plenty have thrown in the advice about doing the odd mugs bet 1st goalscorer etc to keep accounts alive. I'm just a proper mug and would bet on 2 flys going up a wall so cant see them taking my account anytime soon! Think of it as you beat them rather than being cunts lol Although I'm sure the ?5free bets where a nice wee tool for Cheltenham, it all added up!

That's a fair point and a mate of mine said he was surprised i lasted as long as i did. I used to throw a mug football bet in every week but stupidly stopped doing that a few months ago.

This is an excellent point and I'm fairly sure this is why my account with them has lasted longer than with other bookies.
They have always been my "go to" for "fun" weekend footy betting, whilst other bookies that I use less frequently - have generally been for larger, more sporadic (stretegic?) bets or AntePost.

Whilst a weekend ACCA is often just throwing money away - the odd point here and there can be invaluable in terms of keeping an account unrestricted.
