    Made it to the end

I laughed at the Nickle Back tip... He was entered up at Cheltenham in the October meeting, my mate sent me a message saying he really likes the looks of him and he could be a Ballymore type. I replied "No chance I'm backing an English trained horse in a festival novice hurdle"

He may have been one of the three to make it into my book during the course of that video... Great stuff chaps

      Well Done boys,

Stayed up late to watch throught to the end.

Well thought out selections for the longshots request. Thank you.

      Apart from the 10/1 tip.
      Shame on you Spectre

You made up for if later though with 33s and 100s picks.

I recall Nickle Back's number one fan on FJ putting out a long post about him for the Ballymore at the end of October, when he was first quoted at 100/1.

Shout out to Block 205 for his pick on Nickle Back a few weeks back, and to Spectre for bringing him back into all of our minds. Nice one

We haven't seen him since that post, hopefully will get an entry around Christmas time.

So far I already have 4 of your 9 picks covered.
The one I like the price of, but not the fact he's been out with an injury, is Aspire Tower.
66/1, or even 50/1, is huge if its still there when he gets declared for a race.
      Good pick jono

Fingers crossed for State Man running on Tuesday Kevloaf

I was FM. Nothing stops the flow when it starts. That's an age thing though!

It doesn't work when the wife puts her hand up either!

And 2 out of 9 ain't bad. Meatloaf would never have had a hit with that title though.

Watching this as I type, otherwise I'll forget what I was going to write

I wasn't going to have a bet in the X-Country, but Balko Des Flos is the one I'm debating whether or not to get onside. Was hoping he would drift a little after his defeat in the handicap but didn't go out enough for my liking. I may have to add him though. But....a 10/1 longshot....come on

I think Ontheropes is the absolute bet, as pointed out by Jono, in the NH Chase, I added him once 365 drifted him, which was very kind of them indeed.

Ginto I can't have for the Bartlett, I think he's a potential Pipe horse for GE & Bective Stud (Morans), as was also suggested on the podcast too. I mentioned him a couple of times last season, I can't remember what waffle I wrote, but I know his p2p was run in a fairly quick time (which he won by 12 lengths), so as much as GE has said he looks a stayer, I don't think he lacks pace either. It wouldn't surprise me if Eric Bloodaxe beats him this weekend though.

I have doubts about Heaven Help Us although she is a fair E/W price at 33/1. I get the form line argument but Telmesomething was giving her 9lbs that day and coming off a 140 day break. Heaven Help Us was fit from a failed chasing campaign, she also had plenty more experience (possibly less chance of improvement going forward too) than Telmesomething. I wonder if she may try and regain her crown in the Coral Cup given how well in she was last season.

Agree with Jono about Gaillard Du Mesnil, I don't really have much else to add to it, I think he pretty much nailed the reasons why, and also the risk of Galopin Des Champs being the yard number 1.

Can't argue with State Man, a Mullins horse in the Supreme, makes sense. Hopefully he manages to get a run

Once again, I find my self struggling to disagree with Jono, such is his case made for Aspire Tower at a big price. He's one I'm yet to add but feel like this is going to happen sooner rather than later.

Elixir D'Ainay is certainly interesting, I know Kev is obviously a big fan, I just wonder if he'll go down the Marsh route as opposed to the Arkle though, and is the race I'm more likely to back him for, depending on if he gets an entry this weekend or not.

Fair shout from Spectre on Nickle Back, who is one I made a note of due to another member mentioning him previously on here. The My Mate Mozzie p2p isn't looking the best, but MMM has done the form no harm, and Nickle Back was up there before he fell 2 out.

Once again though chaps, a great and interesting watch, keep up the top work lads

5 out of 9 now, plus Burning Victory for the Stayers

Love the enthusiasm jono has for Aspire Tower so that has sucked me in too.

Just finished watching this… superb effort again gents, especially for 1hr 40 mins! Already on Gailard Du Mesnil & like jono reasons for the bet. He was one I remember thinking watching last year’s Ballymore to take out from the race for this season over fences.

Someone put up Nickle Back on the forum a few weeks back with a decent write up as Spectre said too, already topped that up e/w again, got 110 with a boost but noted 365 & Hills are 33/1 on him now.

I get the reasoning behind Aspire Tower, makes total sense. I’ve got a niggling feeling he won’t be turning up though which is why he’s still 66s as doubt there’s been much money laid for him resultant. If he’s fit and well I can’t see why he’d be the price given previous Festival form.

Biggest takeaway from this recording however was Kevloaf expanding out to drinking a Sol, without a lime in it which is atrocious I’m going to send you some craft beers fella

Do you watch the Racing Post golf podcast? I rarely bet on golf these days but tune in most weeks. Steve Palmer is quality entertainment.

I've seen bits and pieces of these, often via a Twitter link. I know Steve in 'real life', and he is an entertaining guy to chat to (as you might imagine).

He seems like a top bloke. Even more reason to tune in if you know him.

I have to agree, a really great podcast guys. Congratulations. One suggestion if I may: I think it would be good to have a stopwatch as a means to managing the content just as Nick Luck has on Luck on Sunday ie get your arguments across succinctly in two minutes and then let the case for the defence commence. This may enable better scrutiny of arguments and better back and forth. I have to say though, as some guys with a passion for their topic, this really comes across and makes it good viewing. I was disappointed not to see Kevloaf not crack open more cans of lager,
