Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

  • I do like Billaway to go one better this year but I simply can't ignore the merits of Aloneamongmillions. For me he travelled better than anything last time out and was just caught for speed at the end of the race. With a few more months on his back and the extra distance of the Hunter Chase I think he will go very close at the Fez. He may well come out on top.

    • And so it begins. The Worlds End entered on Wednesday at Warwick in the Hunters Chase with Heskin jocked up.

Notable possible challengers are Captain Cattistock (with Fergal now), Back Bar (Multiple winning Pointer with Twiston-Davies onboard), Highway Jewel (Beat Hazel Hill last time), Impulsive Star, Sametegal, Porlock Bay (Winning Pointer trained by amateur Will Biddick with Lorcan Williams on board), Vinnie Lewis and Wishing and Hoping

      • Aloneamongmillions, it came to pass & billaway all declared for Sunday. Nobody jocked up on aloneamongmillions yet but assuming Codd will take the ride again.

I really think the answer may depend on whether Amatuers are back in the saddle by then, not necessarily the best horse.

If the Amateurs are riding then I would fancy Billaway the most but if the Pros are on board, (depending on which pro), then IMO The Worlds End and Highway Jewel would be my preferred two.

            • Surprised It came to pass is as big as 12/1 for Sunday’s race. I know he got beat a lot of lengths last time out but that was his first run of the season.

Probably reflects he has one target he's trying to peak for?

I'd be surprised if Aloneamongmillions didn't start 2nd fav as well. 7/1 looks too big for him as well. He looks to have plenty of improvement in him and the step back up to 3miles will really suit.

                  • Billaway was impressive last time out despite that pretty big flat spot, but this is aloneamongmillions trip, should be a good battle, I don't think the latter did much wrong in defeat. Encouraging to see Mr Codd back on board again too.

That's a very good point re Codd. He'd surely have his choice of other rides and he's chosen to ride Aloneamongmillions again. He clearly must rate him.
