I have been following Staker Wallace since he was a young horse
Off the course for a few years before coming back last year
he jumps and travels really well but does appear very one paced at the end of his races
should be good enough today but super citizen looks like an each way steal in this for last years foxhunters winning team
also,Barry o neill rides ( very good jockey ) but Jamie Codd rode Staker Wallace in Cheltenham last year and he rides Fanamix todayLast edited by Liammet; 30 December 2020, 10:13 AM.

I know because I was on each way at 50s

That looked fairly straight forward by Staker Wallace but agree he’s not got many gears
Bookies couldn’t have been impressed, his price hasn’t moved with many of them, still 16’sLast edited by The King Pimm; 30 December 2020, 02:20 PM.

Where as Billaway is 2 years younger and could be open to improvement?

In the last 73 runnings of the race since 1946, there have been 10 winners aged 11. Also 6 horses have doubled up the following year and this has occurred twice recently with On The Fringe in 2015 / 2016 and Pacha Du Polder in 2017 / 2018, both of whom were 11 years old when winning the race for the second time.
Connections were probably satisfied with his seasonal debut despite losing and I hope he puts up another bold showing in defence of his crown. I have backed both Billaway and ICTP, plus a few others but like you would love to see the oldie win.
