Can see that, no reason he won't be ripe... the others may need the run?

My thoughts exactly Kev, I have dipped in to the 16s for the main event as well as if he wins like you say he will be cut. His form looks good. Even if he finishes second i cant see him drifting out too much. I dont really bet that much on this race until the day but he is one that has caught my eye in this field. We will see

Might be better to back 15-2 and then reinvest winnings for Foxhunters.....unlikely to shorten more than half if he wins

Looks an interesting shout and so had a dabble ...thx

It came to Pass was an easy winner in March but Billaway was so inexperienced to be running in that race. He's not run since either so I would expect the same result tomorrow but going forward I'd still fancy Billaway to come out on top next March.

....there could be some fancy ‘win today & Festival’ on this race if requested.

Very interested to see some prices for the win tomorrow & the foxhunters.

It Came To Pass had plenty in hand against Billaway in last years race. But I can't help but feel if Mullins is targeting this race he will win it some stage. Whether Billaway is the horse to do so or not is the question. But he's a young lightly raced horse, specialising in this discipline (so not a horse dropping down into this sphere later on) who was able to come 2nd on his first attempt at the track, pulling 5 lengths clear of the rest of the field. Nicholls aside no other trainer anywhere near his level competes in this race.

The desire is largely driven by the owner of course but I remember reading an article on Patrick Mullins a few years back where he said how keen he was to lift this trophy. Only one other amateur has won their 3 races before (though he still hasn't won the Kim Muir yet either)

Apparently he ran in a point at the weekend and beat stalker Wallace easily by 3 lengths.

Very decent form. Certainly one to keep a very close eye on.

You’d be pretty pleased with Billaway there.

Not with Patrick though. He puts them in some awkward positions to jump, that’s what got him beat.

Stand Up and Fight is one for Aintree I’d say.
