Crowdfunder - Fat Jockey Forum upgrade

Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

I've heard him mentioned as a potential Arkle horse on a couple of podcasts but he looks like a stayer to me.

I wonder if the Arkle being mentioned is purely in relation to UDS?

I see Felix Desjy is down to ride on Friday in the Grimes Hurdle (2pm)...

It'll be good to see him back if he's declared. If he's none the worse for his injury he'll be a genuine contender for the Arkle is that's the route they decide to go. You can never be sure if Gordon might work his mark down and aim for something like the County though.

As a side note, there are a few horses entered up by Gordon, Willie, and Henry in The Grimes that I thought would be in a field rather than still on the go. It could be a bit of a cracker for the time of year if they stand their ground.

Back to the original post and the thread in general, has anyone managed to get any word of Commander Of Fleet? Inquiries direct to Cullentra with regards his well being have fallen on deaf ears.

With the cancellation of Aintree/Punchestown I think we will see a fair few decent animals earlier than normal as some good horses would have deliberately bypassed Cheltenham for those meetings. There is some good prize money to be had with summer racing so we could see some very good quality fields. Owners will also be tempted to run their horses sooner as they have missed out on big pay days with the enforced break.

Micro Manage also with a couple of entries at the Curragh in a couple of Group 3's. One over a mile and a quarter, the other a mile and three quarters

If he bolts up in one of them do you think they’ll keep him on the flat? Or are they just making up for lost time after not getting him out over jumps last season? He’s certainly on my shortlist for Cheltenham after some strong comments from the yard last year.

He is a gelding so he could be a dual purpose horse, if thats what they want - or maybe a Melbourne Cup one instead of going jumping.

The talk was Micro Manage would save his novice status for the next jumps season, and have a flat campaign this summer. If he's particularly successful on the flat that could presumably change though, particularity as he promises to be very useful and is completely unexposed.

Champion Hurdle a possibility? Very inexperienced novice hurdlers with decent flat form have won it in the past. Royal Gait springs to mind and more notably Alderbrook who incredibly won it off the back of just 2 hurdle runs, one where he was a well beaten 8th and he didn't run over hurdles until over 2 years later when he bolted up in Kingwell. One run later he was Champion Hurdler.

Calm down fella, let him actually jump a hurdle in public first
