Crowdfunder - Fat Jockey Forum upgrade
Hello Fat Jockeys,
Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum
We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.
I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

That’s the one. I was on him @ 50s and 33s. Went off even money favourite and finished a couple of lengths back to Celestial Halo who had a somewhat enterprising ride from ruby off the front IIRC.....with what was to come from Henderson’s yard re: Binocular’s Champion Hurdle win, I cant say I was too bothered he wasn’t too happy

Hi everyone, thought best to do the formalities before commenting further on anything.
Firstly, I have no idea why I picked the name, I certainly don’t have a Rich Ricci fetish nor am I especially partial to a hat in truth. But generally as someone who is not averse to backing a favourite or a short priced horse, you naturally gravitate towards the pink silks on a Tuesday...
I live in Wales, I love a bit or National Hunt and have recently discovered the point scene. I’ve owned a few hooves in a couple of horses trained down here in South Wales, nothing overly sexy, mostly for punting purposes tbh. Weirdly, I’ve never watched any of them run live, basically because they run in shit races 200 miles away on a Tuesday and I mostly know they have no chance!
Anyway, thanks for welcoming me into the FJ fold

Hello all. Registered a couple of weeks ago and spent some time looking around the forum. Good content. Great banter. Not sure if I'll be able to add anything of value, but looking forward to getting involved.
cheers.

Hi everyone, signed up for membership a while ago but never got round to posting, like a few others have mentioned my knowledge is nowhere near the level of some of the rest of you.
I first got into horse racing when I worked for Willy Hills in my 20s and it was flat racing I preferred at that point but over the years I've developed a firm preference for the Jumps.
Now in my 40th year I've been to Cheltenham a few times and my closest track is probably Ayr which I like going to for the big meetings

Is Ayr any good these days - friend of mine went a few years ago and said it was one of the worst courses, standards wise.
Have they spruced it up ?

The standards are still pretty poor compared to other courses Quevega, not cheap for the big days as well but always have a full house for those.
On the plus side even on the busy days it's easy to get a bet on, doesn't take long to get a drink and not much trouble getting a good view of the racing.
