Crowdfunder - Fat Jockey Forum upgrade

Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

    • Wayward Lad

      Great Post.

Loved Wayward Lad, and that Dickinson/Easterby/Winter/Rimell era, and I agree he was the best 3M Chaser I have seen, and not to win the Gold Cup.

Hope to get insight from a long time NH fan through the journey to March 2025

      • First off thank you for inviting me.
Think it took me 3 or 4 emails however good things comes to those who wait.
Been an avid follower of this site all last year and the amount of information i learned was incredible.
There's certainly some knowledgeable people in your ranks.
I thoroughly enjoyed the monthly yankee's which i used in many a ante post bet this year.
If i was a horse id certainly still be allowed to run in a bumper such as is my current horse racing knowledge but I'm a fast learner and I would now say with some certainty that national hunt horse racing has overtook my love of football.
Anyway much appreciated for the invite and although I may not comment alot just yet I will certainly be reading and soaking in your knowledge.

If NH has surpassed your love of football, then this is the website for you.

          • Perennial lurker of this forum for a while now, and a number of posts from here have been screen shot and shared across me and my mate's WhatsApp group for horse racing.
Huge respect and admiration for the fountain of knowledge that is this forum.
Promising nothing but hopefully I can drop the odd decent post now and again...

…..you’ll find plenty of good company and interesting chat in here, plus I think you’ll now have access to the Diary section. Feel free to contribute to any of the threads.

                • Hello All, been a long time member and lurker without posting anything. So, I feel that ought to change and I should start contributing to this website, seeing as I spend most of the national hunt season on here!

The first ever bet I had on racing was on Sunnyhillboy in the 2012 Grand National, and despite that painful photo finish, I was hooked on the spectacle of NH Racing and have been following it ever since. The Cheltenham festival is now the highlight of the year and I can't wait for the 2025 edition.

Hopefully, I can get stuck in and contribute to the chat. The vast wealth of knowledge on here is second to none, and it has certainly helped me become a better punter over the years so a big thank you to all.

Welcome Cragio. As a newbie myself, just get stuck in. I was wary about putting horses up at first but the natives are ok, they don't bite

….i left school in the mid-70s and whilst waiting for exam results and considering my football options, I got a temporary job in the local dole office.

i looked after Box11 and that bloke with the future catchphrase was a young, aspiring actor that I signed-on every fortnight. He went on to great things with parts in Oscar winning movies etc. I remembered him well because he was such a lovely bloke, sadly no longer with us.
