Crowdfunder - Fat Jockey Forum upgrade

Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Just thought I’d better introduce myself before I get stuck into the forum. Heard a lot about this mystical place from a good mate of mine (hi colty) who is the reason I’m actually so into horse racing now, this is my first year going balls to the wall with antepost betting and have been told this is the place to come to find stuff out. See you on some posts
    cheers lads
You finally got on here then mate. Welcome. I'm sure plenty of the others on here will vouch as much as me (if not more) about how good it is. Lots of knowledgeable heads and if you disagree - don't be afraid to say so as it helps us all form a better opinion. We're all here to smash the bookies and hopefully have a profitable Cheltenham.

        • Hi there,

I have been a viewer from afar for a couple of years since finding the site. The amount of knowledge shared to guests is exceptional and felt that the time is right to sign up to the site.

I caught the racing bug in the early 2000's and Kicking King's 2004 King George hooked me on jump racing. I first visited the festival in 2009, was I the only one not celebrating AP's ride on Wichita Lineman when he caught Maljimar on the line? I have been most years since and truly dread the thought of a 5 day festival.

I have a trends based approach where I focus on a bias towards recent festivals, which I have used for about a decade. This, along with the knowledge from this site (thanks for Honeysuckle and Bob Olinger early enough pre DRF) have made the previous two festivals my most successful.

I hope I can add some value over the months/years to the discussions..

          • I'm glad you decided to join us Lou. Some great racing memories there too.

Dive in and get posting. We're a friendly bunch.

I'm still getting over Maljimar's defeat Lou - welcome aboard.

                More pain over here.
Welcome Loubell and thanks for dragging up the Maljimar debacle.
If you tell us you backed dogshit Warhorse to win the Arkle every chance you're banned by the weekend...

I’ll still be a member next week, I would still try to find an alternative after knowing the result of that Arkle.

                        • Possibly all three fans there on the same day. How often does that happen!

One of my neighbours is a Carlisle lad. More of a Rugby man though. He used to play for Carlisle RFC.

Our away support is odd, home attendances are poor yet as a percentage we take good numbers away. 1700 will be there Saturday. Happy to say hello to any Carlisle based Fat Jockeyers

I'm struggling to make it this weekend or would have met you for a few in the Beehive before the game

Maybe next month when we inevitably draw each other in the FA Cup
