Agree with the posts above with Mullins only running them in the CH if his hand is forced. Laurina only ran in the CH because her owner was very insistent on doing so I’m led to believe. Munir/Souede a different kettle of fish to Jared altogether.
    A lot of hot air?

I don't think making cases for backing horses NRNB should be dismissed as hot air myself...

...but I've backed Min NRNB for the QMCC, so perhaps I'm just a massive blimp.

Certainly not dismissing cases for backing horses NRNB and can’t fault the Concertista NRNB angle - apologies if my post came across that way. I was just suggesting that the chances of her actually running in the CH are very very slim

Here? Aren't the chances of her running here very very high? Have I missed something?

Re Concertista where they head next will tell us all we need to know. If they pluck the stones to go for the ICH then CH is a possibility with the right outcome, if they opt for another canter round vs shit mares then I'd say she will almost certainly run against her own sex at Cheltenham

Apologies, meant to reference CH in my post. Updated now.

              • I see no entry for Elfile in the Mares Hurdle, I would imagine that means she is highly unlikely to appear in the Mares Chase either as you’d imagine they would have kept this race as a back up option if they couldn’t get a chase run into her.

Incidentally only realised the other day that the horse isn’t called Alfie which is how I always pronounced it in my head.

Pretty safe to assume she's injured on that basis.

I believe Concertista is more likely to run in the mares as she's more effective at two and a half
                    No surprise there

                    • Has anybody any idea why they have entered Paul's Saga for the Stayers but not the Mraes Hurdle?

                      • Just watched the Mares Novice back last year. I was impressed then but I am seriously impressed now. I think Concertista vs Honeysuckle will be one of the clashes of the meeting, really looking forward to it and hope it happens

Would you have Concertista over Benie Des Dieux as the Mullins number 1 now?

One on the up, the other, likely on the down?

                          Comment

                          • Looks like Concertista being aimed at Mares hurdle, if honey wins the ICH do you think she will go Champion Hurdle or stay mares? Would be a cracking mares race.

                            • I know I wouldn't and Benie at 5s NRNB in this race is very generous and gets ever more so the longer we hear nothing definite about her going chasing.

Think Benie still be better....big gap in RPRs.....but Benie had a setback and given age it’s a concern

Think Honey beats either, but I put Concertista in my tips as I think Honey might well go CH and like everyone hoping if Benie is back, she goes for Mares Chase

Obviously, given my doubles love, I have this in various combinations and a treble......but if any 2 turn up here, I’ll be quite happy to watch a great race
