Would there be any chance she goes for Champion Hurdle? Or has something been said that she will stick to mares?

Her only rival will be 10 years old and could even go chasing at Cheltenham. Although more likely line up here again I'd reckon.
It's a two horse race that could easily be a one horse race.
Unless we get something from the clouds but I'd feel confident I could get that covered in good time.

I'd consider it unlikely myself given she didn't do it this year when it looked a weak race on paper...
Then again, I considered it unlikely she wouldn't be going over fences so what do I know

She's incredibly unlikely to be sub 3/1 for the Champion Hurdle even if takin her chance, where I agree with you, she is not that likely to take in.

The 3/1 for the champion hurdle is just insurance in the unlikely event that happens so imo is worth the half a point difference of TWAR. If they do switch you’re on at bad value but I’d be 99% confident it’ll be the mares hurdle out of the two. I get the cash out side of things but it always concerns me with the more high profile horses that they will be quicker off the mark to pull the plug and therefore you get left with a nr

....in light of the Honeysuckle ‘news’ I had a quick look at Sky RaBs to see if any might offer more value;
Easywork/Honeysuckle win a/r 40-1
Bob Ollinger/Honeysuckle win a/r 40-1
Honeysuckle w MH: Envoi Allen w a/r: LostinTranslation place GC 40-1
Chacun: Honeysuckle: Shishkin w a/r 66-1
Honeysuckle MH: ABP GC: Envoi a/r all to win 80-1
Gypsy Island: Honeysuckle: BDD win a/r 125-1
Ferny: Appreciate: Honeysuckle w a/r 125-1
Goshen: Shishkin: Envoi: Honeysuckle w a/r 200-1.Last edited by Eggs; 18 July 2020, 01:40 PM.

I thought the related double was worth a little tickle at those current prices.
I'd still be wary of parting with cash on Benie's target. You can easily make a case for the Mares Hurdle, Stayers Hurdle and Mares Chase.

Also good news for Happy Diva fans - one less star turn to beat in the Mares Chase by the look of it.

I think they'll be taking it VERY seriously.... the Stayers will be a harder task, the Mares Hurdle now seems a match up that they may be confident in, but when Salsaretta is ante post fav, this becomes a very appealing option for a horse you know is well clear of Salsaretta?

I can't imagine Salsaretta having any impact at all on where Benie Des Dieux runs to be honest, thery're in completely different leagues.
Salsaretta is a pathetic priced favourite for the Mares Chase and Benie would be 1/10 to beat her, and rightly so.
Just looking, Salsaretta is currently rated 1lb higher than BDD over fences.... imagine if they priced her up as favourite.... I think that'd be my biggest match bet of all time.... in this mythical situation that I'm now engrossed in.Last edited by Kevloaf; 18 July 2020, 04:47 PM.
