I'd make her third favourite at worst and not far off Epatante based on Concertista's form this season, Epatante's disappointing run at Kempton and Hendo's general travails.
And Honeysuckle is far from unbeatable over two miles - surely she hasn't improved that much since the stable decided a year ago not to run her.
I know prize-money has been reduced this year but last season the winner of the CH got 265k with 100k for 2nd , 50k for 3rd and 25k for fourth.
The Mares Hurdle prize-money was 67k for the winner and 25k for second.
At present Willie's main CH hope is Sharjah - is last year's runner-up really going to win it for the first time aged eight?
Willie hasn't got a great hand in the CH, in my opinion.
Who would Townend choose to ride if Concertista went to the CH? Surely Concertista. He's only ridden her in her last two races and they're two out of two.
Then Patrick could keep the ride on Sharjah - and Benie could go for the Mares Hurdle assuming she's fit to race.
And Elimay can take care of the Mares Hurdle. That's a good fit for Willie.
And the owners?
Well , they get a very realistic shot for glory in the Champion Hurdle as the stable's first string.
If they finish second they pick up a bigger cheque than for winning the Mares Hurdle.
Fair enough , if the owners don't want to step aside they shouldn't have to - they should call the shots in my book although I wonder if they actually do with Willie. But surely the owners and Willie must still be pondering this as a pretty attractive option.

Could take in the Punchestown Champion Hurdle this year, or the Aintree Hurdle if they want to stay over 2m4 but go against the 2 milers that pop up in that. Next season, win a Mares only hurdle first time up, go for the Matheson or take on Honeysuckle in the Irish Champion Hurdle and if it fails, she can go to the Mares Hurdle again.
Willie will just want to win as many races as he can and he will pick the easiest race for her.
